When I first got my truck (back in may) it was overwhelmingly positive or just curiosity. Dislike was rare but did happen occasionally. Usually just head shaking or negative gestures. Now I get flipped off, spit at, yelled at, shit thrown at me, etc most (not most, but very often) of the time I drive it. Luckily I haven't gotten into a fight yet or had my truck vandalized. I take the back streets when I can and try to find an inconspicuous place to park. I hide my truck at work underneath a security camera where it's camouflaged with the dumpsters. I had one scare where a guy tailgated me all of the way to my mom's house. I didn't pull in but kept driving so the guy wouldn't mess with my mom and finally pulled over. He rolled down his window and yelled something negative at me but couldn't make it out. I took a dash cam clip and later tried to analyze it to see if I could get his plate but the resolution was too grainy.

I'm pretty sure that 99% of the haters out there have never driven (or even ridden) in one before and I'm sure that they'd change their tune if they had a chance to experience what an amazing, technological marvel that it is.

I love my truck. This will all come to pass and when people start realizing what we all know (minus some kinks from developing a vehicle designed from the ground up (BTW I've never been back to the service center)), people will love it too. It has it's place. It's not a perfect fit for everyone.

On an aside; I think the "haters" and dumb asses out there that are causing all of this attention towards our trucks are going to make it legendary some day. I own a piece of history now.

Anyway, I live in mid Michigan.
That’s what I be tellin em: all it takes is a test drive

So cal.
Seems like no one cares much because there are so many driving around here .
If anything positive reactions from children.
Sometimes attempts to race from gas pickup drivers .

CA South Bay/SanJose area.
initially (Sep 2024) few thumbs down, few hands before the eyes, and one Trump supporter who was disappointed when I told him I was not. But it all died out, at least I didn't notice it, until this morning, one bird. Many more positive responses, smiles, chats, etc. No cases where people approached the truck negative, the people who come up were/are all genuinely interested.

Can’t give it percentages as both positives and negatives are dwarfed by no responses at all.

Although the are many driving around here that people are not surprised and seeing it for the first time, they still stand out. I get more stares then I have ever had in my previous cars including a very orange Mustang.

South Florida, 99% love it, 1% H8. So far, one mom's basement guy and his fat gf gave me a thumbs down at a light around 8pm so hard to see them. Two young twenty-somethings guys in a lowered Honda thumbs down while passing each other at a four-way stop.

Other than that, no issues.

Could you guys just at least add the state you live in? because I’ve had this CYBERTRUCK for three months I’ve had about a dozen interactions all super positive✅. Everybody wants to know about it. I think it’s cool. Never get the finger. Never get people yelling anything, ever! I’m on the coast of New Jersey Monmouth County and reading the comments is like Reading some foreign news. Where do you guys live???? What the hell is the town like that you live in? Sheesh
You’re lucky af. I live in toronto, Canada

I would imagine feedback directly correlates to:
- red state/areas = ?
- blue state/areas = ??

With maybe some exceptions in affluent areas like Silicon Valley and maybe parts of LA
I live in one of the bluest states on the border of Portland, Or. I would estimate the hate is 50/50. I got yelled at for buying a truck made in China and an inappropriate salute from a bumper sticker filled Subaru.

Kids almost universally love it but adults are mixed.

I just don’t get the hate. I don’t hate them for their choices, may not agree with them, but outward display of hate is way too far.

At the end of the day, it all points to insecurities that they MUST have. It's almost like they think they are losing something or giving up something due to being misinformed and resort to behaving this way to balance out their misguided thinking.

Glad you guys are finding on average positive response these days. Same was the case for me in Ontario, Canada. Was one of the first ones here (first week of launch). Kids and all sorts of people loved it. Thumbs up all around with like 2% thumbing down only with people who either are driven by YouTube more than their vehicle, or don't like EVs etc.

Lately it's unfortunate though. As Canadians we have a habit of blindly following opinions without making our own. So now people are vandalizing Tesla vehicles left n right, lighting up on fire where they can. I own a 3 and CT. And honestly the safety aspect has put a bad taste in my mouth. Although it has nothing to do with CT but now I'm definitely looking at Sentry more whenever I'm parked outside. I hate doing that. I think Trump is honestly doing us a favor for us to look in the mirror and form our own opinion for once. But for Tesla again majority is following the negativity they see on Media. Which sucks. My previous boss and I got the same time. He sold his after a trucker tried to run him off the highway 400 when he was on a road trip up north with family. He misses it a lot. I am hell bent on not giving up because I love every time I sit behind the Hybrid yoke/wheel. Not privileged. Started my life here working from a gas station up so I have seen all levels of life. Got CT even though could barely afford it because I knew it will empower me every day to work harder. So yeah. Not letting go of that feeling. But just want to feel the freedom again when I park it somewhere that no copycat arson will try to light it up... don't care about social media robots (aka people) who will form their opinion by literally "following" other people.

Hope it gets better. Fingers crossed

Manitoba Canada. Bought it in December. 1 finger. I believe his parents are brother and sister, so it might not be his fault. Ha.
Only a handful of CTs in this province so I spend a lot of time talking about it and letting people sit in it for pictures. 99.99% percent loving it.
One race against a BMW turbo that wouldn't let it go. I only have the 2 motor, but for a moment I bet he though his car stalled. Ha.
Luvin the truck. Autopilot is the coolest thing ever.
Stay frosty people.

Subarus definitely make up a large percentage of the negative feedback I get. Funny cause I have a Subaru as well my fourth one over the years.

I just proactively now start giving Subarus thumbs down when I’m in my cybertruck ? (i’m kidding)
