Anyone here using the rolling car wash yet?
I have been using the touch less whwre you don't move and it goes around the truck but it just doesn't do very good.
I saw horror stories out early on but feel like that was people not clicking the correct buttons for the car wash.

For some reason Tesla has always warned against auto car washes so be safe out there, don’t lose your panels!

Disclaimer: Photos for demonstration purposes only no vehicle was harmed in a car wash.

I also have a monthly plan at a rolling car wash. Line up the front wheels to the track but make sure that the steering wheel is straight (or you might have the rear wheels stuck), turn on Car Wash Mode and then turn on free wheels. Don’t touch the steering wheel. All should be ok.

Good tips! Do your mirrors fold when you enable Car Wash Mode? It does in my M3P

Yes. I usually unfold them after the last set of brushes so that the final rinse sprays them.

The only thing I wish Car Wash Mode did for Cybertruck would be to lock the rear wheel steering so that the rear wheels do what every other car on the road does and that is to follow the front wheels.

Touchless car washes are kind of hard to find, are you guys getting the brush style ones seeing any small scratches or swirls in your stainless?

The car wash I use has soft rubber brushes and I haven't seen any swirls. I would actually be amazed if that material could scratch the super hard stainless. On occasion a piece of the brush has gotten caught and broke off in one of the crevices near the tailgate, but zero damage to the stainless or tailgate.

Every single touch car wash damages or diminishes the exterior finish on a vehicle. Less noticeable on stainless steel, but it still happens. You will eventually notice it over time.

You need to remove at minimum the "track side" wheel covers and put the truck in Car Wash Mode; otherwise the track will pop off your covers and/or damage them.

Touch free is the way to go.

I have no evidence that what you say is correct. I do not have wheel covers on my Cybertruck but I do have hub covers and I do not see any evidence of damage to them. I always use Car Wash Mode.

My wife has insisted on using touchless car washes on her Model 3 and has never been happy with them.

I think that there is a clear distinction among owners about cleaning our trucks. If my truck is getting scratched then it isn't at a level that I would notice or care about. I used rolling car washes for my Model Y for the 2 years before my Cybertruck was delivered and there may be scratches in the paint on it but nothing compared to what has happened from driving around (pebbles, branches, bird droppings, car door dings, etc.)

Don't take my word for it then, go to your nearest one and look at the brushes/sponges. They are loaded with microsand particles. ?‍♂

you won't notice the damage until one day, you do lol

10-4 on the wheel covers.
Was hoping I could get away with a brush style but think I have to take a longer drive to get a touchless.

If you don't mind to stay on topic.
This is more about does it work for cybertruck aside from personal experience of scratches.

I feel majority have theirs wrapped and the small micro scratches do not affect it.

I feel touchless does not clean the truck very well. Works in a pinch but still disappointed after.

Yea agreed.
Touchless and safe for vehicle
Brushed and may mess up tires/rims or swirl stainless
By hand like a peasant may be the best option
