I am seeing many Youtube posts making the case for the Cybertruck being a total failure and even surpassing the Edsel as the worst new car failure ever.
I have a Foundation CT on order, awaiting recall repairs for the cantrail issue so I haven't received my CT yet.
I am growing concerned that maybe this purchase is a mistake. The FUD is working.
Also, I am thinking if I hold out a little longer, until the 1st quater earnings call, maybe there will be some serious additional incentives on the CT if Tesla really does need to start moving these trucks due to super low sales and all the issues with panels falling off, etc.
I would sure appreciate the community's feedback on this.

I absolutely love my Cybertruck that I have owned since October 2024. Most unique vehicle on the road, and the most technologically advanced vehicle. Don’t let the media change your mind about purchasing a Cybertruck with false information.

Not much said about the car industry and the economy in general. The last year or so since Cybertruck availability has not been the best market.

We are 3 months in having a CT, 10,000 miles. The truck is simply amazing. I get in our Y now and think it's a toy and the Y is way better car than most. Rented a car recently and basically most other car brands are outdated junk loaded with a dash that makes your head spin - and I need a key dongle and have to turn the car off when I get out. That does not make a car, but the point is the traditional car industry is stuck in slow motion and Tesla keeps innovating.

If you drive a CT, and learn the truck - I don't think you believe it's going away any time soon and demand will pick up if the economy settles down a little. Hopefully Tesla hangs on a little longer and keeps trimming down options with price to create a more affordable version.

As a Foundation CT Owner; Buy it because you want it/need it...and don't be concerned about what others think.

It simply drives incredibly, after driving mine for 10,000 miles, I really notice how bizarre driving a gas car is...

It does not drive like a truck, at all. It is the most comfortable vehicle to drive, handles exceptionally well. It is very stable and well planted at speed, slow and bumps, etc.

I am happy with my CT, never look back, going to drive it until it is dead.

Regards
Jack
This is a great truck and I would get it again. Do not listen to the negative publicity since it is directed against Musk. Some believe that the detractors just want to bring the price of the stock down or are short sellers.

My 2 cents worth: I've had my dual motor CT for 6 months now, 6426 miles and STILL love it! Zero issues to date (have not had the cantrail checked by the SC but my inspection shows no indications of it releasing).. It is a great road trip vehicle - rides better than our 2023 MX (though not quite as quick off the line) and has lots more room. I replaced my 2005 Dodge Ram Daytona with the CT and have NEVER looked back - this is WAY better. With Elon's hard veer to the dark side I seriously considered buying something else but: 1) The F150 lightning charges at only 150kW - I lived with that when we had our 2017 MX and it sucks! CT, 2) the Rivian just isn't big enough (felt more like a compact pickup to me.. but then I'm 6'-7" so everything seems a bit small). 3) Neither the F150 or the Rivian come anywhere close to what FSD can do. My only comment is that I would reconsider the Foundation series. Two months after we got our 2023 MX, Tesla dropped the price $30K- that REALLY stung.. So my recommendation is to give Tesla as little of your hard earned cash as possible while still purchasing the vehicle you want. You can get the tri-motor Beast w/o the $20K Foundation price penalty..

I've been blessed with the great fortune of owning and driving some of the most incredible cars from high performance domestics to super car exotics and my hands down favorite driver is my CT. It's a technological marvel and a statement of art in design. I don't give a shit what anybody says or thinks or whether the price goes up or down. I didn't buy it as an investment, I bought it and will keep it because I enjoy the hell out of it and that has been worth every penny.

In 50 years of buying and owning trucks, the CT Foundation is the best . Ride comfort is awesome. Stereo is great. AC and heat is perfect. Can sit in the truck for lunch hour with AC and stereo and no emissions and negligible power consumption,

I would suggest talking to people that own a CT and can give an honest opinion. My review would be to not hesitate to buy one. Being an owner of 7 vehicles from exotics to antiques this truck is absolutely impossible to compare to any of them. My FSCT is an amazing truck and I literally look for reasons to drive it because I enjoy it that much. It obviously may not be for everyone but I love mine and everything about it. Its my 3rd Tesla and feel the CT is one of the best.

I've had my CB since last September and in one word, 'spectacular'. I'm sure there are folks with issues/recalls/etc but what '1st model year' car hasn't had problems....my personal experience has been, 'ZERO' issues. Do I trust FSD unequivocally...no, it still doesn't give enough room between me and the car in front despite the settings. Do I use FSD in town, in congested traffic...no. But on the highway it's largely a dream and is constantly getting better. Parking? It's 100X better than me.

I you are thinking of holding off for better financing, better deals, etc...then to me that's like in the 1990s when I was buying a PC. Wait another 3-6 months and there will ALWAYS be something just a little better...but then again, if you fail to pull the trigger you'll never get to enjoy it for those 3-6 months. It's hands down the most amazing vehicle I've ever driven.

The way I've described driving it is like the feeling I had when I opened up my very first iPhone or iPad Pro...only x1000. It's exhilarating every time I get behind the wheel of it.

I suspect all the hate are from folks who don't really own one...and the MSM (who hates Elon anyway) will never have anything nice to say about it purely for political reasons.

I was already a Tesla owner when I purchased my cyberbeast in October 2024. I expected to like it a lot, but I didn't expect to like it better than any vehicle I owned since 1978. The other vehicles are getting ignored. I absolutely love it!

From a Teslarati article regarding the the new model Y -

"To make a long story short, I’m really happy I did not pull the trigger on the Legacy Model Y in February. The new Tesla Model Y is truly a much-improved version of what was already a great vehicle, and while I still think the Cybertruck is the best vehicle in Tesla’s lineup, the new ‘Juniper’ is right up there with it."

Granted, it's one opinion but all the other comments/ articles are opinion driven as well.

I demoed the cyberbeast for 48 hours and loved it. It's definitely something I'll be purchasing in the near future.

Relative to other EV sales the cybertruck is doing fine. I think the issues stems from the marketing of 500 mile range, a cheaper price, a million reservations, etc.
I purchased two Tesla last month - a ‘25 CT dual motor for me and a Model Y Juniper for my wife. I love both of them. But being honest, the MY is way more finished, fully developed. Its FSD tech is better than the CT by a couple steps, and the overall design development is simply better. We have them for different purposes and I am happy with the CT, best truck I’ve ever owned except for towing range, but the Model Y is a whole other level of refinement and finish.

It does drive just awesome... it's unlike anything else, especially with the drive by wire four wheel steering.

I've given people rides that are kind of in shock with what it can do, then they comment they would still never own it because of the unconventional look.
