ATTEMPTED BURGLARY WHILE SLEEPING IN MY CYBERTRUCK!!!

I mainly posting this for advice. Luckily the thieves didn’t get anything but one night while I was really tired driving home I decided to stop at a rest stop and take a snooze. While I was sleeping, I woke up to hear some people yelling and talking to each other around my car. All of my windows were blacked out with covers so I could have some privacy and rest peacefully. I heard the noises and I yelled” you all need to get out of here!! I am trying to rest!!” . Just after I said that I heard a boom in the back by the tailgate. As soon as I heard that I thought oh my gosh they’re vandalizing my truck and I got out of the car and raced over the car next to me and four guys were sitting in there. I started yelling at him. What do you guys want? What do you guys want And nobody said anything they just said stoic looking at the steering wheel I decided four against one wasn’t a fair fight so I backed down and went back into my truck.
I didn’t even think to look at the century video on my truck until later. It wasn’t then until I noticed these guys were surrounding my car looking for parts. I think they were gonna try and steal some parts. You see them in the video pressing the door unlocked button, but obviously it was locked. After I approached them, I did end up following them on the highway for a while—in an attempt to scare them away. I do have their plate number and obviously the video showing their faces and what they were up to. I wonder what they were after? Moreover, my big question to the group is do I report this to the California highway patrol? Perhaps they need to know with all the violence that’s going on with the cyber trucks perhaps I could show them the video? What does everyone think? And I am not sure about posting the video in here as it could be an active case. Please advise.

Not a good idea. Good way to end up in a very bad outcome.

I say post everything here and elsewhere. Make them famous. Could even help get them all caught. Likely the license plate only applies to one of them.
It hasn't seemed to hurt any other investigations so far.

Rest stops in general are high theft areas especially if you have a uhual trailer.

Your self preservation instincts are terrible. What if they were armed you just opened up yourself to extreme harm. Why not just talk through the car turn on all the lights etc? It has camera so you can see what’s happening.

Police don’t bother with these crimes anymore. Try to be more careful too,

If they had any sort of weapon, and your luck went the bad way.... Not worth it man. That's why you have insurance. Yelling aint gonna save you from getting stab or worse.

Unless something of value was stolen, or something of value was damaged; I'm not confident the police will do all that much. Just checking door knobs isn't much of a crime.

Literally can’t be an “active case” if you haven’t filed one. And even if it was an active case there’s nothing magic about those words that would diminish the value of your video if you had one to post.
