I have 4 lifetime subscription plans with SiriusXM. SiriusXM will not honor this subscription for the Cybertruck. I wondering if there could be a Class Action Suit for this and anyone else who is running into the same problem. SiriusXM has tried in the past to make it difficult to transfer these plans to other vehicles and were sued and either lost or settled. Maybe it time for another legal action.

You need to look at the lifetime T&Cs and see if it mentions streaming. If it does not, then you are SOL.

When I purchased my Subscriptions streaming probably had not been invented. I purchased the service and it doesn't matter if it comes thru smoke signals, I paid for lifetime and I don't care how they provide it to me.

Maybe the lifetime subscription only applies to direct satellite radio reception, and not to streaming?

But even in that case, seems like you could install a traditional SiriusXM receiver/antenna in the CT, and transfer the lifetime subscription to that.

The class action suit requires SiriusXM to transfer it to a new vehicle as many times as you would like, for $35 per transfer, you may have to pay the $35 but just let them know you had your lawyer review the class action verdict and that you expect the transfer to be done in 10 days.

According to their website... you should be able to transfer your lifetime to the CT at some point in the future:

At this time, Lifetime subscriptions cannot be transferred. We expect to add this capability and will notify all Lifetime subscribers via email once it is available.

My guess is that they seem to do the Tesla thing under a different system for subs. So I have to think this is just a technical issue they need to get coded in.

You would think so, but they can miraculously sign you up for a free 30 day trail, transfer all of your settings and history to your Tesla, then of course bill you after 30 days.
My guess is they are dragging their feet hoping people will drop their lifetime and pay monthly....

Yeah that doesn't surprise me. Every year, they want to charge me $23.00/month or something extravagant. You threaten to cancel... they put you on hold for exactly 2 minutes and say "Let me talk to my manager". They always come back and agree to $5/month. They are scammy as hell.

This ⬆, I ended up with $4.95 for a year, just have to remember to call before the year expires. Right now I am VERY unhappy with it, lots of time it just goes out... (iPhone still works, truck still has connectivity but no Sirius). If it does not get better, I will cancel.

I’m having the same issue. They are telling me my lifetime subscription can’t be transferred to my Cybertruck. It did transfer to our Model S.

Mention the class action lawsuit settlement and that if they have not followed those terms in relation to your account in 10 days you will be contacting the lawyers involved in the class action suit.
Should get the problem resolved.

I tried online to put my XM sub on hold, but it forced me into a chat. The rep refused to put it on hold without a valid reason (all I would offer is “personal reasons”). So I said “what if I want to cancel? Do I need a reason for that?” This started a whole new session of getting the full runaround, so I just cancelled via the web portal.

I understand that subscription services will try to keep your business, but geez

Hi Mike - I'm also using the phone ap to get SiriusXm in the Cyber truck. We have 2 model X cars with the lifetime subscription and that works. So I think SiriusXM is trying to get us to give up on the lifetime and buy the monthly plan. I'm not giving up on the live time plan. I paid for it and I plan on getting it. So hang in there. Maybe at some time we might have to join forces with all the life time subscribers and do something. I'm not willing to spend money to fight it. But I will join others in a class action suit if it comes to that.

absolutly, however lawyers take class actions on for pro bono, they know when they win, the payout is huge
