Great topic, OP. Thank you for bringing it up!

Someone, please help me. I listen to classical, jazz, talk radio and for dessert, Jimmy Buffet. NO matter what I do, NO matter how I set it... the radio it always sounds like the music is coming from the front dash behind the steering wheel. Now, granted, this is what I grew up with every car made in the '60s, but still?

I am currently in my sixties with respectable hearing and some loss in the high range. I have had the privilege of shooting a LOT of firearms and flying a LOT of jets resulting in tinnitus but still, how should I set up this marvelous system, so the music sounds just as special as everyone hear (pun intended) describes it??
Maybe try the balance option.

Tidal Premium (Individual, Family plan, and Student plan) which is $10.99/month offers lossless audio quality at 1,411kbps and 9,216kbps respectively.

Tidal is another account and payment I need to manage for the quality. Then again the collection is still pretty limited and doesn't suit everyone. A good Bluetooth codec with a decent interface as opposed to the crappy SBC and AAC would be great enough to manage the playlists from any streaming app or on device.

Has anyone tried using the browser and services like Plex or Jellyfin with good audio eq plugins? Would love to try that if someone already has tried it.

I mostly use Amazon music. To me it seems like the loudest it will let it play is restricted. I notice I can turn the volume all the way up and it is loud, but not real loud like most car radios can get.

I’ve been an Apple victim for so long that I haven’t tried anything else in well over a decade. Maybe I should.

I love Tidal and use it as my only music option in my Cybertruck. I also love Tidal's business model as it gives back to the artist more than any other music streaming service.
just curious. can you hear the difference between Tidal and Spotify when you are listening to the same song in the CT ( with immersive sounds OFF) ?

Tidal really shines on excellent recordings, unfortunately many recordings are quite poor. For good recording Tidal is significantly better than Spotify premium for me. Interestingly, some of the best quality recordings can be many decades old, Telarc, Reference Recordings... Try Etta James, "mystery lady" album to compare.

Spotify is the best interface in the car/truck.
Tidal the best sound quality.
Apple was the worst on both aspects(haven't tried YT music, yet)

This is just my opinion from testing all for a month.

I most certainly can, especially the deep bass parts of the song. Also, a song I really notice the difference on between Tidal and Spotify is the good old song, "The Cover of Rolling Stone," by Dr. Hook.

Check it out!

Has anyone heard a difference between YouTube music app on cybertruck vs YouTube music on the browser? I felt like the browser version was better for the same track. Downsides are that previous and next song steering wheel control don't work and the browser clears out often and have to navigate again to the track or playlist each time. UI also isn't really friendly.

Tidal gets my vote, and my 2-cent opinion. Quality is excellent, but more importantly, the User Interface is much simpler than all others. I tried the 5 or 6 leading competitors. My main gripe is that each service provides some AI generated crap ("DJ") that is always shoving bad music at you. I really don't want to be intruded by a robot that knows better than I do what is a good set of songs, and I certainly do not want it auto-playing just because my selection finished. Tidal does this also, just less so. If you hit the "keep playing it again" button, then you will not be invaded by robot-selected music. Also on Tidal, it is a lot easier to find your own music, and to get off of the home-page music that is "recommended". Tidal was #1 in this area - selecting my music - and the other services were annoying and invasive, including Spotify, Apple, and Amazon.

Anyone able to listen to music when outside of the car and parked? I’d like to be able to leave my windows open, keep the music blasting while washing the tires, or doing some work in the bed, but the only way I know how is to leave the door ajar. As soon as I close the doors, the music shuts off.

If I’m parked with the doors closed, and windows open, and anyone know how to leave the music playing while sitting/working in the bed?
