On fsd on the highway, my Beast will change lanes in front of Trucks on long uphill highway climbs. ( Up to 80,000 lbs or so, a fully loaded doesn't know your next move ) Any momentum won't be regained if he gets off the gas. This is not good for anyone especially Cyber's reputation on the road.
If you're not sure, don't let her (your truck) cut anyone off. Don't need more rage on any roads. We are setting examples for all future self drivers!

Fair. I thought you meant there was some fsd on fsd or human on fsd aggression from the title. lol
Which actually brings up an interesting question in my mind. Are Teslas in fsd aware of each others location on the road in some way other than the cameras and would that be useful in any way?

"Hurry" mode seems to be a lot more of "Dick" mode: it doesn't go much faster but is a lot more likely to cut people off, especially in the left lane. The amount of times I've felt shame because my FSD cuts someone off in the left lane only to cruise at the same speed (well below the "max" I gave it) is too damn high.

I really would love a "stay in your lane" feature.

Not at this point, but Elon said in the future that would be valuable.

This is so true- we have basically: Grandma mode, Whatever, and Dick.

We had that in our x for a little while. A minimize lane changes for this drive toggle. I think it went away with one of the updates maybe?
I do agree the modes should be renamed but I’d go with grandma….stoner….and dick

My experience has been FSD only cuts in front of a semi if it has at least 1 mph on the semi and a clear lane ahead. And it leaves adequate space for that.

But it’s still cutting off a semi on your behalf. Lol

FSD absolutely cuts too closely in front of trucks, as do many/most drivers. It doesn't matter if you're driving faster and the road ahead is clear, if you need to decelerate for any reason and you're within the safe following buffer for the truck then you've cut in too close.

Lane changes remain one of my biggest obstacles to comfortably using FSD. The shift from a rules based driving engine to one trained by actual drivers is great, except where actual drivers frequently disregard the rules.

Read the latest update patch notes again (yesterday/Tuesday). It mentions "fleet" in the future patch update. They are planning on it.

I expect some time in the future FSD vehicles to run in packs on the highway generally keeping other vehicles out of the "group". Nothing about that would be illegal and it would help their insurance policies rates.

There's nothing in the release notes about that.

Sorry wrong section. This is what it stated " Dynamic routing around road closures, which displays them along an affected route when they are detected by the fleet.". You are correct its not talking about local awareness yet.

Haha. Packs of wild Cybercabs that hunt human drivers on the freeway and box them in.

Yes I am in Hurry Mode most of the time going to work and I will say it gets a lot closer when coming back over than I would normally. I try to give Semi's a wide berth for their, and my, protection.

You can give it a little accelerator to widen the gap. That interaction may even get uploaded to Tesla for NN improvement.
