I like the Ecoflow delta pro 3 for this application. 2.6kw solar input, native 240v output and good integration with the multi-fuel smart generator. Lots of options.
The Anker f3600 and its newer plus version look promising for this too but I haven’t used either.
This thing from pecron sounds like it will be good but the solar input sounds a little
limited based on specs.

Fwiw, I live in Arizona and camp with very young kids. I carry an Ecoflow delta pro 3.

Since you are talking about getting stranded in remote places AND self rescue, I would get a Honda. The most reliable generator ever. Not cheap, but it beats being stranded and freezing/starving/getting eaten by a moose or wolverine any day. It could happen...

I have used this one - just add a neutral/ground bond plug and the Tesla mobile connector works great on the generators 240V side.

It is loud though, but if this is truly for last option safety, I would keep it in the bed on a trip like that.

Realistically you will want something that can supply 40 amps for 8 hours every day you are traveling away from grid. That implies a diesel generator, and, for a week 40 gallons of fuel. That generator will effectively fill the bed. You might rent one, maybe 10 kw, probably 1 to 1.5 grand a week. A 5 KW will drive you crazy running at full bore, get a larger one with a real silent muffler.
Now if you are just going to one spot and staying there a little generator running constantly will suffice

onan makes a 10KW quiet diesel for motor homes, allowed in Parks because it is quiet.

That won’t work. You need an inverter generator

That is incorrect and it does work, I own it and have used it. You need to use the neutral ground bonding plug I mentioned. They are like $5 on amazon or free if you make your own

I like Hemiarch’s recommendation. Very versatile.

We towed an Airstream with a Model Y to Zion Nat’l Park from Scottsdale and back (800+ miles round trip). I used 2 Firman generators purchased from Costco that I daisy-chained in order to get enough mileage up the great elevation increase from the Painted Desert up the San Francisco Peaks into Flagstaff on the return trip. I pulled into the Supercharger there having driven about a mile at zero percent charge. Without the generators I would not have made it.

Fun times!

I did wire an adapter neutral-to-ground to trick the Tesla sensors into accepting a charge from the generators.

I use a Firman 6k portable quiet . https://firmanpowerequipment.com/collections/rv-camping/products/w05583. get to destination or stop for an hr. turn it on and charge. camp overnight I run out a cord and let it run. I carry 2-5 gallon cans. Gets me about two extra charges. I have not found a solar that keeps up with me because normally I am hunting so there isn't a lot of stops for extended time.

This is the one I road trip with. You’ll need the grounding plug everyone mentions. It’ll pump 3kw/H on propane into the truck. A 20gal can of propane will last about 15 hours. So 45 kWh. 120 miles of range depending on your speed. I like it because it’s light enough I can lift it into the vault myself. It has wheels and a handle. Dual Fuel. Remote/Push Button/Manual start options. Make sure you pack a few quarts of engine oil to replace it every 6 to 8 hours.

The link is a great price at Lowe’s

Cash, good planning and sweet talking would be a good generator. Just ask people in remote places to plug into their outlets. Generators are fraught with issues.
I like how you think but most of the time when I’m in this situation it’s because I’m actively trying to get away from people.
