i noticed it later in the day after leaving unfortunately. Also im leasing so i documented just in case they try and pull something when the lease is over

My guess? 100% it was a previously vandalized Cybertruck. The substandard red paint removal is a clear sign.

This is another reminder for new CT buyers to perform their due diligence in the parking lot before accepting a truck at delivery. Arrive early to your delivery appointment to thoroughly inspect the vehicle. Once you accept delivery you are contractually stuck.

Since you just accepted the vehicle, you can open a service ticket to have the SC refinish/fix those issues.

I did that immediately with the issues i saw on delivery. Since i took delivery on a Sunday when service was closed at the location. So the alignment issues will be addressed. Im getting it wrapped so im pretty confident the paint issues will be resolved when cleaning and removing any debris from the surface. Just a bitter sweet delivery.

Nice, minor scratches can be removed using 3m Scotch Brite 7447 (Very Fine) and/or 7448 (Ultra Fine) pads w/ a random orbital polisher.

Service should buff those scratches out and clean it up for you.

I previously rejected a new 2024 model 3 with a 2 inch scratch as advisor indicated that even with a lease that any pre-delivery damage would need to be resolved before turning the lease in.

I actually did check but i think they cleared it out after before delivery. Everything on the stick was it in different lots but no vandalism present

Maybe it is me but this is another post of several on this board of someone excepting a "New" vehicle that has obvious issues either mechanical or cosmetic. In this case it looks like it was one that was vandalized which in of itself is wrong and I hope they catch the person.

I just do not get why you buyers do not just say give me another one that has no issues. With the extra CT's that are sitting around per reports it should be not like this is the only one available.

Call me old( 66YO) and such but I was taught not to accept a product that had issues and hope that they fix it later. Also are you all not paying 70, 80+ thousand for this truck? Seems like Telsa should be giving you a very good condition vehicle free of obvious issues.

Be careful and have sentry mode enabled.

ask them to do a full chrome polish for you. That will solve the scratches and any left over paint, plus it'll look awesome! The chrome polish is the perfect real world camo.

If you are having CT wrapped, why does these issues matter. I agree, some leftest vandalism took place with spray paint in storage lot. Tesla (any dealership) did the same we all of us would have to do, have paint removed. I hope we Wouldn’t expect dealer to dispose of vehicle. Yes, Tesla should have made you aware of vandalism
