Hi!

I know I need a tow hitch. CT is my first pickup.

I want to get a tow hitch - preferably one that "looks good", is usable for most "normal" situations (like renting a mid-size trailer from U-haul, helping someone out of a ditch).
Added requirement: Maybe buy a bike rack that would be able to take a few bikes.

Please can you recommend such a hitch, and what I would need? I'm not looking to spend a ton of money.
Amazon links would also help if you are able.

Thanks!

Cybertruck already has a 2" receiver, you are looking for a ball mount and bike rack.
Ball mount depends on specific trailer hitch size and height.

What do you mean by “looks good”? The hitch configuration you need depends on what you are towing. I typically leave the aero cover on the hitch receiver on the truck if I'm not towing.

I recommend doing some reading/watching some videos on how hitching and towing works before buying or towing anything with the CT. Tons of resources out there (including uhaul’s website and the CT owners manual) and as with any heavy duty tool, it can be catastrophic for both you and those around you if you get it wrong. You should feel confidant that your set up meets the requirements of your tow and that you understand how your vehicle dynamics change when towing in order to be safe while doing so.

Details on how to take the rear plastic cover off (to expost the hitch receiver) is in the Cybertruck Service Manual. Highly recommend bookmarking it and reading; it's super helpful (and with pics!).

https://service.tesla.com/docs/Cybe...tch cover to the vehicle, and then rotate the

FWIW, most trailers need a 2" ball. And, as someone else said earlier, how much of a drop you need on the ball mount is dependent on the height of the trailer you're towing.

Lazy man tip!!!

Use the air suspension to raise and lower the truck, you don’t have to mess with cranking the trailer jack that way. At least it Works for me.

Good point...especially now that we can raise and lower it via the app.

Using the app for ride height is new? First EV and Tesla. Took delivery of my FSCB on 13MAY25. So all this is new to me! If only the native app would allow Siri Shortcuts!

Yeah, they released that feature...maybe 1-2 months ago?

As for Siri Shortcuts, the Tesla app does support it! Open the Shortcuts app on your iOS device. You'll see a bunch of preset shortcuts...and you can create new ones. Back when I had my Model Y, I created a 'open frunk' shortcut. Was pretty cool to be able to use my Apple Watch and say "hey Siri, open frunk" as I was walking to the car.

Oh wow! I’ll have to look into. I was thinking of paying for a third-party app to do them! Thanks!
