After 4.5 years on the reservation list, I picked up my Foundation AWD CT just over a year ago, it's my first Tesla - first EV of any kind, actually.

I have absolutely zero regrets.

The Cybertruck is the best vehicle I've ever driven. It's also ruined me for other cars that don't have steer-by-wire, it's impossible to explain what a game-changer it is without trying it out for yourself.

Of course there will be some teething issues with a brand new platform, though I'm happy to say my personal experience has been nearly perfect. Don't worry about the gripes, grumbles, and negative press (we all know how the media works), the totality of the Cybertruck experience is sublime.

13 months after I first brought it home, I still get the biggest, dumbest grin walking into my garage and seeing it sitting there, waiting for me.

I joined the group because I wanted to hear from fellow owners, not from a$$holes who know how to use a meme generator.
All I was trying to say, and I probably could have and should have done so more politely so please accept my apology for that , was that having serious prospective owners on here is a good catalyst for hearing from actual owners like us. You can just skip these threads if you prefer it that way.
I for one happen to think it’s important those
of us who already know how awesome this product is share that with those people who might still be on the fence. This promotes more people buying it and a higher likelihood of the product surviving.
One of the nice things to me about the truck is the cool community around it so it hits a nerve for me when we get painted as elitist exclusionists which is what I felt your post did.
There are enough people trying to paint us in an unfavorable light. Let’s not help them.

Bought in Oct 24. Transferred my FSD from my Model 3. I replaced the 3 and a Chevy truck. It’s been perfect for that replacement. Sometimes I miss the smaller size of the 3, but all of the positives outweigh that. Easier to get in, amazing steering, no gas for hauling and carrying loads, tons of space, durable. Every once in a while I wish I were more anonymous, but I have to do me.

I got mine in June of last year (FS AWD), and it's the been the best vehicle I've ever had (my 22nd car so far...). I've often told people who've asked, and have been genuine about it, that if I totaled it today, I'd try and buy the same thing tomorrow. Some people can still be judgy and borderline offensive in their query or responses, but by the time you talk through just some of the capabilities (like taking it camping up at the Grand Canyon over Memorial Day and doing amazing on range with minimal battery drain), it's really a hard vehicle to beat. Of course, like mentioned, if you live in ultra-cold climates or plan on towing massive trailers, this isn't the truck for you. But if you like to do some offroad hunting and camping, while also enjoying decent range and the ability to out-maneuver a sedan in a parking lot, I personally don't think anything touches this truck.

I too was an early reservation holder and then bailed out at the last minute.
I had a bad case of analysis paralysis.

Then I finally decided to jump in 'partially' and leased a new CB on a 3 year run. (49k vin)
Within a month I was over the top hooked on this truck.

Early this year I saw that they were adding the free supercharging to the foundation series so I outright bought a new FS CB (39k vin) so now we have 2 of them until the leased one is returned anyway.

For us its a perfect truck, we are on a rural piece of property and the power share alone is huge for us. My wife tows her horses with it no problem at all. All of our towing is within 50 miles radius of home so range is a non-concern. The cybertruck platform for our needs is perfect. (I come from a 15 year string of GM 2500HD's - this is our first electric experience)

Both are kept outside all the time and being on ranch style property they get dirty fast - that leads me to the car wash. Both of them are run through a car wash at the local gas station at least once a week - car wash mode is simple and the wash does a nice job. (its one of those flat rate per month car washes). The car was takes less than 3 minutes to go through.

Here is a link to a video of the car wash.

Foundation series. 12,000 miles and three months. Best vehicle I’ve ever own. It ups the bar for the model Y, which is still a far better car than most anything out there.

Some people complain about the efficiency and cost of supercharger network. But I think they’re not looking at how much fuel is driving 70 or 80 miles an hour down the road in a truck. The cyber truck is a beast of an efficient vehicle on the road. it’s tough when it needs to be but floats down the road so smooth during travel. It’s an outstanding vehicle.

100% no regrets and would do it again.

It is the best toy I ever had! Also the safest vehicle on the road and it can save your life in case of accidents.

Great to hear everyone!! Thank you! Now for my next question.
if you were going to buy it again now, would you buy a new one or is a used foundation series good to buy, knowing all the issues surrounding the truck, ie A pillars placed with glue, and other issues I would assume are fixed. ?

I thought this forum was for Cybertruck owners only.
It was started before any trucks were delivered………So………. You tell me, is it for encouraging people that want to learn more about the truck, or is it only for those that have a truck and say “me too”….

If financially not an issue, Of course a new one! Like anything new, always some design issues, which will be corrected gradually.

I would base that decision on the free supercharging value to you personally. How much is your KWH where you are?
(for reference I am over .50 already with increases coming locally - makes supercharging worth $500 month roughly to me)

I would buy new and accept the potential flaws of the FS for free supercharging. I’d buy AWD personally.

Don’t forget that with PowerShare Tesla can also help heat/cool your house for many years

Picked up the CB the last day of Q3,2024. The SC was crazy busy, the delivery experience was awful. Yet still, I could not wait to get behind the wheel and take it home. The next morning we woke up and drove from Virginia to Florida. What an amazing adventure, my wife completely bought into the experience and was so happy to tell people about her experience. We have had zero issues other than those created by me scraping the walls of my tight circular driveway into my garage.
The ride is more than awesome and FSD is so much more relaxing than it used to be to be. The truck definitely make me drive safer and having my insurance with Tesla, my premiums drops as my safety score rises. Speeding while not using FSD is keeping me from hitting 100. Something to work on.
The CB helps me demonstrate my commitment to advancing sustainable transportation.
Yes, I would do it again even though I’m a little envious of those getting the 2025 with some improvements early adopters missed out on. the only thing I would change would be a bigger battery or technology to get more miles per charge when traveling .

I'd say yes here after about 14 months. It was pricey but all trucks are. I am and was disappointed in quality of finish some and plastics used but accepted that. software is greater but FSD has a ways to go for me.

Having said that, I plan on getting the value of it though. Will use warranty while it has it for sure and keep as long as possible likely.

I'm waiting but also plan in getting a lot of value in use of battery as additional backup for powerwall house systems. That delay has been disappointing for sure but they say this year now still. That alone is worth a good 60k+ is storage value.
