Anyone else: Lost Rubber seal on top part of Tonneau cover.

Has anyone lost this rubber seal piece on the very top of the tonneau cover on your CT? I am not sure where it went, I am assuming it blew off going down the road. I was washing my CT and noticed it was missing. I wash the CT about once a week. I made a service appointment for next week to get it replaced, but would like to know if others have had this issue? This si the first time something came off on my CT with 13K miles on it.
Tesla will replace it, but wonder if it is inside the consealed cover storage area. hope it does not cause other issues.

Where did it go? Hope it did not hit someone on the road

They never installed it. There was a long period when all CTs were created like this. It doesn't impact anything but looks. Tesla will fix it.

Mine's like that, the other end where it meets the tailgate is pressed tightly. Maybe, if it pressed a little less tightly, the water drain holes wouldn't show. There's not much rain that gets into the bed, so I'm not inclined to have them service it.

If you really want to see how they add the slat, look at the Cybertruck service manual and search for ‘tonneau slat’. You’ll see how they add the missing slat.

4 to 5 hour job. But, you want have any leaks after that.
