Several videos show and prove the cover has a bind sensor and isn't forceful and individual has already put their hand in it as it closes.

The test that needs to be done here is if the bind sensor works at that point near the glass, if so, this is a worthwhile note but not real hazard due to the bind sensor working. If not.... well great call out :)

Good to know. I am planning on installing a removable or sliding rear window so I can access the back from the cab or fit long thin stock through into the cab midgate style (tonneau closed - tailgate down while loading). I was looking for confirmation of an anti-bind sensor in case I forgot I had a 2x4 passing through when I opened the tonneau.

I suspect that anti-bind sensors would be on the motors, like an automatic window.

I mean, don't open or close any window or door without making sure everyone is clear?

Seems like it doesn’t even need to be said, but these days….

Hopefully there are sensors! ppl saying not to close it when kids are around probably don't have kids... they do dumb kid stuff all the time... like push buttons they shouldn't.

I guess you didn't understand what I said.

The tonneau cover does have an obstruction detection device. Fron the video that I saw, It's much like a garage door does.

Like your garage door, the way that an obstruction is detected is by an increase in the current to the motor. That's the sensor.

I'll remember this when trapping young children under the tonneau cover.
