Cybertruck Speaker upgrade from Light Harmonic

Some people like unbalanced bass response, sometimes it's due to hearing loss from loud noises which makes their hearing less sensitive to the lower frequencies.

Any news or updates from anyone who has actually installed all of these speakers in their cybertruck yet? I'm interested in learning if they actually are louder, produce more sound (decibles), or more clarity than the stock sytem, without needing aftermarket amplifiers?

Has anyone bought or considered buying the Light Harmonic Cybertruck speaker kit?

I've tried to do some digging is this community about the brand Light Harmonic. They offer a speaker upgrade kit that's a direct factory plug and play. The magnets look significantly bigger. in my experience of being into car audio from my teenage to mid 20's days a bigger magnet often meant better sound overall. This is especially with mid and lows. while I admit the Cybertruck has a decent factory sound system I do feel it has potential for an upgrade.

Be careful. This conclusion maybe false.

Factory speakers of modern cars with good system have Neodymium magnets which are small and highly efficient!

Aftermarket speakers from (cheaper) 3rd parties may use Ferrite magnets and thus big and heavy. These magnets are cheaper and less efficient. Bad choice for modern car system and worst for EV.

From pictures, it is hard to tell with this company. But bigger magnets are often not better…just cost cutting.

If this is the Light Harmonic that’s associated with Larry Ho, be very careful in dealing with him or his companies. A previous iteration of Light Harmonic ended up getting banned from IndieGoGo because it left consumers with orders totaling a few million dollars completely in the lurch for a DAC he claimed he was developing. If you search for “Larry Ho” “Geek Wave” “LHL Labs” or “Light Harmonic”, the stories should pop up. Stereo and home theater forums are full of Larry Ho stories. I was one of the victims, to the tune of a bit over $4K, and my loss was small in comparison to others. He’s got a documented pattern of promising that delivery is imminent, then not following through, and then stopping communication.

I’m unsure exactly what they are using. I know I worked with a company called or Ella acoustics on my model y and the upgrade was well worth it. The sounds was absolutely in my opinion and others much improved.

Certainly. The latest titanium wave tweeters will be shipped within 12 days, followed by the subwoofers, which are expected to ship the following week. Waiting on the subs I did get the new tweeters but still waiting on final shipment of the subwoofers.

WOW, enough said. I know you have to be a bit pissed off. The website doesn’t even show the subs are not available or on back order.
