2024 vs. 2025 Cybertruck?

While CyberGus is technically correct, I think what you are asking is:
"What is different now about the Cybertruck than when it was first shipped?"

In which case, I can add that there have been several changes that don't really matter to a new owner like the cant rails attachment design has changed and that the wiper motor housing was redesigned.

But, what's actually different? Well, getting "Cyberbeast" on your dash is, to me, neater than the "Foundation" that I have. I'd rather there be more differentiation. But, whatever.

The Cyberbeasts now come with matrix headlights for active... Nah, kidding. I haven't kept track of the little changes here and there. I think the big change is in packaging. For instance, you can get a Cyberbeast with free supercharging... something we weren't offered as early adopters.

It's also very possible the little trinkets given with the vehicles has changed... I, for one, can't see ever needing a bottle opener attached to my truck in a way that I have to have a tool to move it to another position... But, alas... Long answer short on solutions.

Actually, that policy was abandoned. Tesla has joined the rest of the automotive world with respect to model years - all MY Junipers are 2026 models - our was delivered on March 31, 2025 and the sales invoice and title definitely say 2026. I asked at the local sales center and was told that it was easier to join ‘em than fight ‘em. It seems to have gone the way of the profit-free Supercharger ethos and non-profit service center policy. It seems that ROI actually matters after all…

It's the easiest way to spot someone who is clueless about Tesla.

I see people calling out "2026 Cybertruck" in ads etc. hahaha! Oh ok...more like "March" vs "May" when it comes to Tesla.

Case in point, got into a rideshare recently, guy had just got the Model Y, NOT Juniper refresh! doh!

And that guy has a ‘24 or ‘25. There’s no ‘25 MY Juniper. It’s pretty clear that Tesla has joined the mainstream on this question. The ‘25 CTs received many small changes that do not exist on the ‘24 or 23’s, such as the new casting coatings and the dark tinted roof glass.

Yes, Tesla will continue to make continuous in-production design and part changes, as well as introducing new assembly techniques, but every car manufacturer already does this. On my Ford pickup trucks it is often necessary to know the VIN and the range of VINS for specific parts because of this issue. It’s just another example of Tesla learning the hard way that not everything about old school auto manufacturing and design was wrong. Elon has recently mentioned this in talks where he acknowledged that they learned during production hell that many assembly steps are better done by humans than robots. They’ve also learned a lot about auto paint after the initial disasters of trying to repurpose the old paint shop at the Toyota/GM Fremont plant.

No material difference between the model years. If you’re looking at buying one, I’d recommend getting a 2025 so you get a newer build.
