Hey everyone,

I’ve decided to move forward with purchasing a Cyberbeast and have a couple of quick questions as I weigh my options.

I've been going back and forth between new vs. used. 2024 seemed to have some quirks being worked through, so I’ve focused on either a used 2025 or a new 2026. That said, most 2025 models I’m seeing on Autotrader are still priced in the $90Ks, which makes me question the value versus just ordering a new 2026. Am I missing anything meaningful that a 2025 would offer over a new 2026?

Also, this will be my first Tesla—and EV in general—so I’m fine with the $99/month FSD subscription. However, when building a Cybertruck on Tesla’s site, I noticed it shows a “1-Year Premium Connectivity Trial.” Is that a recent change? And what does the connectivity cost after the first year?

Appreciate any insights.

Thanks :)

I have a 24 FSCB, perhaps luck of the draw no serious issues yet, although currently on a trip in Michigan and now the tailgate isn’t opening. Aside from that it’s been good to me with 70k miles on it. Buying used is buying someone’s else’s problems. I would buy another new one over used unless that used one had the free supercharger & premium connectivity & FSD that would transfer to the new owner along with low miles and good battery health.

Premium connect is only 10$ a month and that gives the car basic internet for browsing or watching Netflix etc oh and live traffic data.

Note that the FSD is 99/month today, at one point in it past it was 199/month, just saying it can charge at any point. IMO I don’t like it when my bills change. With that in mind you cannot buy FSD outright now.

New at the current asking prices. Best is if you can find a tesla demo for 8-9k off.

If you have the means to buy new, then buy new. Don’t waste time padding someone else’s pockets, save you some money and possible heartache down the road.

But in retrospect, I always buy used after intensive research. Have been stuck with some new lemons 🍋 many times.

Decisions-Decisions 🤔

Personally I'd go for the new one. As for Premium Connectivity the best deal after your trial is to renew at $99/year. Saves a few bucks. Best of luck with your new Cybertruck. You'll love it.

I recently traded my 2024 FS AWD for a new Cyberbeast. I would strongly urge you to go with a 2026, the charge profile seems to be much better and the build quality also is improved. I find the premium connectivity is well worth the price. If you try the FSD you will not want to manually drive ever again unless it’s for fun on a curving mountain road. I use FSD 99%.

This is what I did. Scoured New & Pre-Owned Electric Cars | Tesla in half the country. Found a CB locally with 2,500 mi and free unlimited supercharging, connectivity, and FSD. Got it for the discount and FUSC. I was not impressed with the last monthly FSD trial in my MY so didn't care about FSD, but now I find myself using it 75% of the time. If only I could set the speed limit🙄 So far, so good 2,500mi later but I wish I would have asked how many launches were performed in test drives (or, more likely, by employees). They probably wouldn't look it up anyway but can't hurt to ask. FWIW, both of my FUSC deals (SC05, haven't heard of any SC01 since 2017ish) came in a quarter when sales targets weren't being reached.

Wow great deal wasn’t able to find one with FSD or unlimited supercharging. However the free 2,000 miles of supercharging I got might as well be unlimited for me.
