So with all the fun banter in this thread I’m confused. Trying to figure out straight answers from someone who actually uses this. You know what they say about opinions and how everyone has one.
I have a roof mounted digital rearview mirror I can use to see back so less worried about that other than FSD use.
Here are my actual questions.
FSD works with the tire mounted?
Tailgate opens completely with the tire swung to the side?
Trailer can be attached even when the tire is on the truck?
supercharging can happen without removing the tire or carrier assembly?
Is license plate visible? Easy enough to get an extra for the back of the wheel but nice to know if needed.
any other hiccups I may not be thinking of? Any regrets about buying this?
Baloney. That thing cuts the towing capacity in at least half. Look at Tesla’s towing page - adding even five inches of leverage length to the end of the OEM receiver cuts both tongue weight and towing weight dramatically.right. Im a truck driver and very aware but it's so minimal. All the equipment is rated at 10k lbs and 500lb tongue weight. Stabilizer bars are the best for any towing, just so you know.
