My so smart dog steps on the front door open button, then pushes the door open and enjoys freedom.
Anyone else have this happen?
Does anyone have 3D print design for a paw proof dog keeper inner thingie?
The last pic is the culprit herself

Your mistaken the purpose of dog mode, its not dog-lock mode. Its so the dog can actually drive around, it makes it so the throttle and brake can be controlled from the steering wheel, and allows the dog to get out, how else is it going to be able to charge on the longer trips.

JK aside, I might try to come up with a 3D print for this problem.

Oh, man that is hilarious! My German Shepherd loves the AC too much to leave his chariot.

Put doggo in back with a pet liner that kind of blocks the armrest passage and turn on kid mode door and window lock.

I assumed Dog Mode would lock the door handles. Maybe the emergency ones could still be available or smth.

I put my dog in the back seat and use the child door locks. Right after I got meh truck I was exiting g a store's drive thru window and my dog opened my back door . ...twice. I called into support and was told about the child lock function of the back seats and that fixed my issue.

That’s hilarious! My dogs open the doors and windows all the time but so far the child locks have prevented them from escaping.

bro... what you rigged up had me dying. That's great stuff. I hope you get it figured out. Have you thought about barricading them to the back area? My 200 lbs dog doesn't have the agility to get to the front so I haven't faced this issue (yet?)...

I enable window and child lock feature before! Easy work around
Unfortunately, the child lock feature will not prevent the front doors to be unlocked, only the rear doors. I created a thread about this very subject a long time ago. Gonna try to dig it up and post a link.

We have 2 English Labs and haven't had an issue with this (I didn't even know this could happen until reading about it in this forum), but mostly likely because:
  1. I use the rear door covers from the Tesla Pet Liner (that blocks them from being able to stand / press the door unlock or window buttons.
  2. I also use a rear hammock style seat cover so it blocks them from jumping into the front seats (but our dogs don't bother jumping into the front seats either).
What Tesla needs to do is sell the door covers separately from the seat cover.

A cheaper option to get door covers is one from Urander (they sell it with the seat cover but it's much cheaper than the Tesla Pet Liner): https://urander.com/products/cybert...s-cybertruck-pet-liner?variant=41184425902142
