I have now owned my CT F Beast for over a year, and my light bar is now due to be installed. The service managers said they have done 2 installs successfully, but didn't divulge if there were any unsuccessful ones. I have read about some unsuccessful installs, but can't find details.
If you have had the factory light bar installed, please let me know your thoughts and pictures please.

I was in the same boat and had my appointment scheduled, but the service advisor said Tesla is releasing a new installation procedure which will use a removable bracket for the lightbar. He mentioned 'the Vision system'.

Although he didn't know the time frame, I decided to postpone the install until this comes out...

Hmmm. I'm in the camp of "I don't need it. Probably won't use it. But it IS part of my Beast and what will set it apart from all the others. It's also illegal here.
New installation method, huh? Using the roof attachment points, I'm sure.

My CT is scheduled for the light bar install later this month, but I will hold off because of this owner's cancelled appointment message that can be found on this forum under his post "Is the Cybertruck Tesla's most unfinished product?" because he received the following message earlier this week from Tesla cancelling his light bar install due to an install hold pending the release of a newly revised light bar version (see attached message from the service center)

I would think so, but they are pretty far back... I was excited to get it, but I know the windsheild isn't going to last forever.. They rescheduled the lightbar appointment to mid August. Maybe they're thinking it'll be out by then..

I'll combine the light, Cant rails, and cellphone charger improvement in one visit, hopefully.

I just had mine installed. SC said they had installed many and have a new process involving a primer before glueing to the windshield.

Got a 2000 mile road trip to CO this coming week so ....

It’s nice to finally get it installed but that’s about it. A lot of the installation issues where during the winter and for a bond to happen the adhesives need to be above a certain temp that’s not conducive to winter temps.

I had the SC hand me the Lightbar and got a local shop who tricks out a lot of off road vehicles install it using double sided tape they use on aircraft’s. Easier to take in and off and has held up for me. It won’t fly off completely but may lift slightly on the corners and in that case go back and have them reinforce it. To me that was better than the epoxy route and SC handling it

I do like having the option to broadcast extreme light with the top bar. But for adverse weather, the ditch lights or bumper lights are the way to go.
The light bar, either aftermarket or factory, does help with the aesthetics of the CT. But that’s my opinion. Haha

I wonder if this delay is still related to the new bracket kit they stated they were doing. The service center told a friend about that.
I decided not to wait and apparently got mine done the week before they put everything on hold.
