I was only the second one done by my CS earlier this spring. The only issue at that time was who/how makes the final connection, as in California that can not be done by the manufacturer. TLDR; I ended up making the final connection at the passenger B pillar - a simple process that is now well detailed by Tesla that your service center can provide to you.I have now owned my CT F Beast for over a year, and my light bar is now due to be installed. The service managers said they have done 2 installs successfully, but didn't divulge if there were any unsuccessful ones. I have read about some unsuccessful installs, but can't find details.
If you have had the factory light bar installed, please let me know your thoughts and pictures please.
I LOVE the light bar and the fact that it is integrated into the onscreen controls. I have not had any noise or loose fitting issues that some others have claimed. I've taken it on long road trips (Mexico) that covers both very hot and cold climates without issue.
I use it frequently while camping and off-roading - here in California it is required to keep in covered unless one is off-road, so I have saved the black tape (wrapped around a Yetti cup) in case I am stopped, but I think that is one of those things that isn't enforced much.
