Tesla app wont let me change my email address for account

anyone run into this. when i try to change my email address either on the website or through the app, it says email address changes are not allowed. i need to get my work email off of the account and switch it to a personal email. theres no option to contact support either. it just takes me to the frequently asked questions, prompts me to try and change my email address again and then tells me i can't. any advice??

Could try customer support at 877-798-3752.

I would try deleting the Tesla app and reinstalling it. Have the key card with you before deleting just in case you need to add the key to your phone again.

I wound up getting on the phone with Tesla to change my account. I believe they asked for a form of id to prove who I was and it worked. My old school email that was supposed to be available to me forever wound up being shutdown due to budget cuts at my university. So I had to transfer all my accounts.

Create a new Tesla account and "transfer ownership".
