Yep!new to ev world, why would someone need a different adapter? is this for non tesla charging stations?
No, that is a different “brand” of the adapter that includes the flap. A2Z omitted the flap (even though the hinge points are there) but also removed a small detector button so that the adapter couldn’t be used for J1772, making it CCS1-only. That allows them to get a safety approval. The flap isn’t needed for CCS.3d print? can you link stl please if so
They replied. They said there is an issue with the mfr for who produces some of the ChargePoint chargers (Reme or something like that?). They shipped me a new one and wanted me to call them when I ran into issues.Same here - A2Z CCS adapter does not work for me, tried few different charting stations.. I emailed A2Z.. let me know if they reply back... Whats the backup plan - any good CCS adapter that fits Cybertruck
Works now with A2Z Cybertruck adapter at the Monticello, UT, Chargepoint 62 kW charger. Just in time for me to notice instead of $0.00, cost is now $0.40 kWh. More expensive compared to Cortez CO or Moab UT Superchargers. So the A2Z adapter might just end up unused....So I just tried my A2Z in Monticello,UT ... it's a Chargepoint as you pointed out. No diceThe Cybertruck charger color is dark blue when pushing in. It states “Charge cable not fully secured. Please adjust the connection to improve charging”. I leaned on it pretty good and jiggled it, etc. It will not take a charge.
Don’t forget it charges you a $1.00 surcharge too.Works now with A2Z Cybertruck adapter at the Monticello, UT, Chargepoint 62 kW charger. The Volta network is "going away" thanks to failed business model implementation by Shell. Who would have guessed a EV charging network owned by a petroleum company would fail...Is anyone successfully charging their Cyber Truck at Shell DC Fast charger like these, and if yes, what adapter are you having success with?
