My original cantrails are solid is a rock. Unless or until that changes, I’m never letting them touch my truck for this.

Yup, I can’t believe what people have posted as the “repairs” done. I can live with mine as it is.

Fair. I felt the same way about my last truck but this one came with the cantrails pre-fucked-up (recall done before delivery) from the factory so I’m going to let them “adjust” them.
In @AZ_4x4’s case, now is the optimal time to do it because he’s upgrading to the second gen urander rack.

So for those of you with racks like mars or urander or Cybertruckco, that has to affect how the rack mates with the car no?

Makes sense in both of those instances but my originals are properly aligned and I don’t plan to wrap my car outside of my magnetic ones which are ideal for me. Getting a white set soon. And after I see, I am going to powder coat the wheels that I got with my winter tire package white. I saw you asking about that so I’ll be doing it again relatively soon.

So, ultimately, I’ll have a natural mode, a stealth mode (black), and a summer mode (all white).

I don’t think there’s any connection between the two at least not the way the Mars rack mounts. If I understand the question. Now the converse is true I think that where they need to attach the bolt would not be accessible with the rack on.

I am having an issue with my Mars rack where it is bleaching out/fading towards a much lighter color than when it was new. Taking it off will be a PITA though because of the tent now on top of it. But, if the rack comes off it’s coming off to go to get powder coated. I have two thoughts about it I think it would’ve been cool to just have it in raw aluminum so at one point I was thinking about bead blasting it down to the bare metal. Now, I’m fairly certain I want to have it powder coated black — maybe even in a glossy black if not it’ll be semi gloss. TBD.

If it was white it would be a totally unique mars rack.

Yeah, but then it would look silly if I didn’t have the white mag-wraps on. I did consider it. If I was going to do a traditional white wrap, I might would do that to.

“Might would”? Are you from North Carolina originally by chance? Haven’t heard that phrase since my wake forest days.😁

No Tennessee but I still couldn’t figure out any way to frame that syntactically without saying what I might would do if I did do the condition precedent.
😂🤣😂🤣

Especially, since I don’t intend to do do it! 🤣

No. I went to med school there. Now I do Trauma
Surgery which is everything but bones and brains plus a lot of critical care and cleaning up high acuity stuff in the ER.
