My CT almost hit he guard rail today while getting of the northern state parkway heading west onto commack road heading south. It got off the ramp just fine, it is a cloverleaf exit so it is about 270 degrees to get onto commack road. at about 180 into the ramp, it starts drifting towards the guard rail on the left side of the truck....I grabbed the wheel as fast as I could and missed the GR but dam...I am still puckered up.
So, ANYTHING NEW will be welcome. It seems that FSD is getting worse. I know it makes no sense but there are more close calls then ever.

Did you save the video?
I did not. I had just gotten onto Hwy 101 at Third in San Mateo. Heavy traffic. I was going to take 380 to 280, which is about 5 miles. I was in the correct lane when I turned on FSD and it mentor the next lane to the left. Once there it decided to go another lane to the left. In that traffic getting back the 2 lanes was going to be messy so I disengaged. I was on ā€˜Standard’ at the time, but I expect that FSD should be ā€˜much’ better by now in choosing lanes. This was a boneheaded call on its part and I’d like to think only teenagers and crazy racers would behave this way (and should be stopped/ticketed). I was pissed off.

I think FSD has barely clipped a low curb once on me; something I could have easily done myself. The model will improve as time goes on. People keep conveniently forgetting that this truck is an entirely new platform.
So far, I haven’t had an issue with FSD, with the exception of the curbs once in a while, and, earlier on, driving too close to the barriers, I thought Kyle Larson was driving the car. Too close for my comfort.

Agree, one of the quirks I noticed also. Choosing the wrong lanes before exits or left turn lanes at intersections.

Lane selection and passing at inappropriate times is still an issue on all of the cars. Hopefully V14 solves some of that.

I had a similar situation. Was on a dual lane merging lane and the CT was douching (weaving between slow traffic) and passed a vehicle on the right. There was another vehicle ~120 ft and the CT sped up and merged left again without a blinker, very weird. This was while on the curve and when merging left, the CT did not turn hard enough and was inches from the concrete barrier, drifting over the solid etc. Frequent lane changes as well.

Hoping this update is a performance oriented one. Hate to say it but TACC was more relaxing for me yesterday.

My biggest FSD feedback via mic in the CT is the CT on FSD tries to "cut-off" adjacent traffic in lanes when trying to get to the planned exit. Maybe it's my human driver brain, but CT FSD is a lane shark. Also, causing this seems to be the CT FSD doesn't plan far enough ahead to position itself for the smoothest exit, ie, get in the correct lane 1 mile or so before the exit to avoid the last minute lane sharking maneuvers. When all the cars are robots, would not be an issue, but with the vast majority of humans in control, it's a problem.

my big complaint is turning left with no traffic in opposing lane, truck will drive into left lane on wrong side of yellow line. also not seeing speed signs end up going 25 in a 55. not getting up to speed fast enough have to press accelerator pedal then it complains and slows down unless I slowly let off the pedal. driving too close to the yellow line sometimes even crossing over it. I have learned to put FSD into chill mode when I know an exit is coming up. I am guessing it has learned some bad habits from aggressive drivers in beast mode.

I am basically happy with FSD, but I agree it doesn't plan far enough in advance to get in the correct lane for off ramps or other turns. And it does a poor job of responding to speed limit changes.

Definitely worse than last year same time. It does some weird stuff now. Y'all have been fucking around too much on our training data! (That means us since it uploads all of it all the time).

I drive like a granny so I blame y'all.

i just got my cybertruck and driving in manhattan NYC, it has made many mistakes in the city and on the highway as well (when taking an exist and driving on shoulder, for example). could this be because the truck is brand new and still integrating?

Yesterday, FSD pulled out of my parking spot, turned right, and apparently forgot I was next to a curb on my right and proceeded to run over the curb, breaking my aero thing. Dammit!

and by FSD, I meant "I".

I'm a dumbass.

FSD is great! I use FSD on every drive - both on My 2023 Y LR and the CT. FSD is definitely better on the Model Y, and although having the additional neat features on the CT, I truly hope such improvements include some basics. Those basics include the CT utilizing the center of the lane instead of the edge and not cutting the corners so close that it either hits the curb with the back tire (or makes me think it is going to :>) ).
