Nevermind. Mine looks the same. In over a year of ownership, I’ve never looked at it from that angle.

I did have them add the missing slat... was it there not before with the missing slat?

No, the bar went one slat farther up so you didn't see it. They commented on the bar after adding mine.

Mine’s like that. I’ve seen pics of other people’s having that bar another spot or 2 down so it’s more in the middle of the window. Yours is as good as it can be after adding the extra slat.

One thing you have to be careful about with the bar showing (which I also see on mine) is that it can jam the tonneau while opening if you put something long like a ladder in the bed of the truck that catches on the bar. That is how I discovered the bar being there on mine.

If you had them recently add the missing slat then yes it is now normal.
it was always like this, regardless of added slat or not. I think you misunderstood what the OP is asking about, these are the bars, and they were always there

Yeah... that's what I figured. When we take trips out of town for sports I usually pack the truck to the gills and stack things up back there closes to the windows because of the added room. Im starting to worry if this is going to be a issue now

When the missing slat is added, the cross bar ends up changing position and blocks art of the rear window. Totally normal, and if you read the service manual for how the missing slat is added, you’ll see why this occurs.

Mine looked like that before the extra slat and after.
