Headliner clips letting go

Has anyone else had any issues with there headliner coming unclipped ??

I can push it up and hear it clip in but it lets go again within minutes.

There are supposed to be 19 clips plus one magnet. I'm guessing some are bent over and not engaging along with preventing others from doing so as well. Or they just need replaced .

The service manual is everyone’s best friend.

It’s the white clips in the front that are most problematic. They are easily bent and have to be lined up with the big white saucer looking things.
Recommend pulling it down a little further so you can see them all and straightening them out with your fingers and then lining it up and pressing up on the cover one clip at a time.

Well we have removed mine several times and it’s tricky because I have fragile fiberoptic bundles up there so typically he sits in the drivers seat and I sit in the passenger seat and we support it while we lower it do whatever we have to do up there like run the camera cables or wiring for the skylight etc.
He always seems to get his side back on before I do. Probably because he’s a lot more competent at this kind of stuff and not because of the ridiculous little magnet honestly.
Very nice to have a friend like him.
