I love the Grenadier. That is such an incredible machine. Would seriously consider if I ever looks at a non FSD car again. That was a great review. Part of what convinced me to get the Cybertruck was pricing other really nice trucks and seeing the price wasnt too crazy. Now getting the foundation series because I thought I would to wait in line 2 years to get one...that was crazy.

Yeah, the price tag hurts. I was absolutely dead set on the tri motor and was hoping for $70K. After 4 years and a global pandemic, I wasn’t expecting 70, but I also thought they’d do better than 120. I saw that once FS ended, they’d be 100. I decided to be patient. FS lasted far longer than I thought it would but as soon as it ended I ordered by Beast. Still $30K more than the unveil price estimate, but…

Totally worth it. That’s the bottom line.

It's a convincing price actually. Every time I priced a competitor, if you can even call them that, whether ICE or electric, the cybertruck wasn't too far off. To me the uniqueness of it justified a slight bump anyway.

The Scout truck looks promising, but will be $60000 if not higher, and has a lot of unknowns including a couple years to market.
Sorry, I don't think the scout truck is very promising at all... It's TOO basic and just looks kinda dorky to me... And again, why did they only make the bed 5.5 feet instead of 6 feet? Sorry, but that 6 inches can be a HUGE deal... Sure seems like a LOT of companies are 'shrinking' the size of their trucks and beds...

And the FULLY electric Truck (Terra) only has max 350 mile range (basically same as CT) and the pricing STARTS at $60,000? Not to mention they don't expect the first ones until the spring of 2027 (if they get enough orders)... Besides, it's still just a VW with a different name (because nobody wants to buy a VW 'truck' - they tried that already)...

$60K for a bare bones BEV pickup isn't any better than any of the others and it's VERY likely that the price will be even higher in 2 years... NOT promising if you asked me...

Is it just me (or the area I live in?) because when I go to the Tesla site and try to buy a BRAND NEW Cybertruck from 'stock' they don't have ANY... Just Demo vehicles... And every one of them has at least 1000 miles on it... There are a LOT (couple dozen) BUT there is only ONE 'new' one... and that's the 'Long range' model... The one with only 1 motor... no thanks... Slower, can only tow 7,500 instead of 11,000, has 'standard' wheels/tires and textile seats... ewwww.... Plus I would have to drive all the way to San Diego to get it...

And here I thought they had HUNDREDS of Brand New CTs just sitting on the lots... But I guess the media is wrong again...

The Conventional Wisdom is that sales of most EVs, including AWD Cybertrucks, are currently very strong, because everyone is rushing to buy before the $7,500 federal tax credit expires on September 30. There are low inventories for a lot of credit-eligible EVs.

Next week Tesla should release the delivery numbers for 3rd Quarter 2025. It should be one of the best 3rd Quarters in Tesla history, maybe their best 3rd Quarter ever.

The bad news, according to the Conventional Wisdom, is that EV sales are expected to tank in 4th Quarter 2025. Tesla should also release 3rd Quarter production numbers next week, and they could be lower than the 3rd Quarter delivery numbers, because Tesla may be expecting lower demand after September 30.

For Tesla, sales in 1st Quarter and 2nd Quarter 2025 were relatively low, and 4th Quarter is also likely to be low. So even with a very strong 3rd Quarter, sales for the 2025 calendar year are likely to be down from 2024.

Try different zip codes, this is from 22192 and there were at least 5 Beasts with mileage below 300 available. I am guessing here but it would appear that if you could find one to your configuration, they could ship it rather than wait on a new order. My local dealer told me there are VERY eager to move the Beasts😀!

Cybertruck is no doubt EV king-congrats to all the owners!
switched to EV since 2016-have so much empathy & sympathy to people who own/drive any ICE vehicles.
Hybrids are for those insecure people! :p

Interesting thoughts. I'm currently trying to decide between trying to order another cybertruck or just buying a F150 Raptor. My first cybertruck delivery was rejected due to damage, and a new one was a month out so I ended up canceling the order.

Now stuck trying to decide do I place another cybertruck order for the 0% financing or just hold off. For reference I don't qualify for the tax credit.
Get the Cubertruck. Trust me/us, you’ll have zero regrets.

Its pretty true actually.. A good portion of people who buy pickup trucks don't want a $100k + luxury vehicle that happens to have a pickup bed. They want 4 wheels, an engine, A/C & Heat and maybe a radio because they know they are going to beat the piss out of it.
Except that's not what's selling, either.

Bare-bones trucks aren't selling, either, and the majority of them were being sold as fleet vehicles.

I don't know what it means, but it's a bad economic sign when fleet sales are down.

...

As it goes, I know the truck price is competitive, feature-wise and operations-wise. But it needed to be more than that. It needed to bend the curve. But instead, Tesla has been profit seeking at a time its boss has become rather unpopular.
