Hadn’t thought of the complexity of how insurance companies could abuse that. Hmmm.
Just goes to show not everything that sounds good in theory results in an improvement in practice.
Rules are written in blood, they say. It's hard to predict to see how things will be gamed ahead of times, which is why it's so important to check.

~4 spots that it always makes the same deadly mistake.
One nuisance mistake it always always makes is attempting to turn into a shopping center (which has its own turn lane) instead of the upcoming main road. Other than that, very good.
The continual repitition of the same mistakes, every single time, despite disengaging and telling Tesla what the mistake was...is the thing that has me more skeptical about true FSD being close, and skeptical about the ever so hyped AI and AGI, and SGI really being as near as Elon and others hype it up to be.

I have been telling Tesla of the same mistakes which cause my manual disengagement for over a year now and it/they learn nothing from it.

The same, exact, driving mistakes every single time at the same exact geographical location every single time...very disppointing...

Disappointing ? Sure. Previously, FSD wouldn’t enter my long driveway. Version 13 fixed that! So I am hopeful that they will eventually fix all my individual personal driving area quirks. But overall, I’m still very happy with the progress!

It's just the fact that it can't learn from repeatedly telling it what it is doing wrong, for over a year, the same exact thing is what is disappointing and frustrating. How is AI and Dojo so smart if it can't listen to what you tell it dozens of times at the same place on planet Earth over, and over, and over again? What is the point of telling it why you disengaged if it never changes its behavior anyway?

That is the only part that I don't get. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I totally get your (and my) frustrations. I don’t understand AI much at all, FSD even less so. But I’m hoping a general solution to our issues is on the way. It is getting better and better.

I would estimate that FSD can drive me 95% of my driving without intervention. One nuisance mistake it always always makes is attempting to turn into a shopping center (which has its own turn lane) instead of the upcoming main road. Other than that, very good.
if that 95% was essentially insured for “free” I would like that!
I found out by just letting it do its thing, going into shopping centers, it usually goes behind the stores if my destination is farther away- avoiding all the parking lot traffic. It actually has made more sense - Every time it decides to route me a different way then I usually do - It is correct...Once it didn't want to navigate towards the freeway - long story short that freeway entrance was closed... I LOVE FSD and use it over 95+% of the time...that's because I feel the need for speed! GO full Beast Mode - Yeehaw
Tesla Cybertruck Lemonade Insurance makes Tesla offer to insure FSD miles for "almost free" 20250930_194931-1
keeps the tickets away.. I've been 3-4 months now w/o mirrors - trying you'll like it...

Finally!

Tesla Full Self-Driving just got an insurance offer from Lemonade Co-founder and President Shai Wininger that might be too good to pass up, as he wants to insure vehicles on FSD for “almost free.”

“If @Elonmusk is game, we’d be happy to explore insuring Tesla FSD miles for (almost) free.”
Looks like Lemonade Insurance is getting closer with Tesla integration for insurance pricing.
