This conversation has seriously derailed from the OP’s original intent. In a nutshell: “AWD over delivered from 2019. Trimotor underdelivered from 2019.”

Yes. Good point.Good synopsis. Performance was also not directly proportional to amount of thai food ordered.

As a fellow follower of the scientific method, I concur. Too many variables to reach a conclusion. And by variables, I mean menu options at the Thai restaurant

@hemiarch has a way of doing that 🤣 Add @dalton108 into the works, and things get cray cray.

P.S. Never had Thai food. I just pop in to 7-Eleven, grab a handful of batteries, and chow down.

@hemiarch I made the trip down to Starbase btw!

There’s a Starship and 2 Super Heavys out, and probably double the number of CTs we’ve ever seen online. I can now confirm they’re AWDs with Core wheels (some with covers, some without), and tactical grey decor.

Got a sweet camping site

I’m glad Tesla realizes this is Starbase. Apple doesn’t seem to yet 🤣

Well, still an 11-hour trip with charging stops, so it can’t happen too often haha. Really cool to see everything in person.

I see you have made it to the 1% club using rational thought. Congrats on your success!

This same rational thought is the reason you don't understand the Beast. It is not for the rational brain. It drives on another plane of existence. Only those who want to see the impossible happen daily, who want to know magic exists, understand the Beast.
Oh, but you make the mistake that, because I think rationally, I am somehow unable to understand the visceral. I actually get it, on a very real level, I'm a motorcyclist too, it's just not that much of a priority to me in a truck. The Model 3 Performance is not quite as quick (2.9 seconds vs. 2.5 seconds to 60 mph) but that last 0.4 seconds is not a priority to me in a truck, particularly when the Beast tops out at 130 mph anyway.

Both versions of the Cybertruck handles amazing for a full-sized truck, but the Model 3 Performance leaves both in the dust when it comes to handling performance and feel. The 2.9 second M3P feels like it could handle more thrust in many conditions, while even the considerably slower the Dual Motor (3.8 seconds) feels like it has all the thrust it should have. The Dual Motor's performance is well-balanced with what it is.

That said, I'm a TSLA shareholder, and Tesla makes a lot more profit margin on the Beast, so keep pumping the Beast over the Dual Motor, it can only further increase the value of my shares, no matter how insignificant auto production will be to the future value of TSLA shares. :D

Do you like the m3p better than the S plaid?

That right there shows your high level of understanding. Tesla isn’t a “car company” that bases its value on sales numbers like Ford/GM/Ram/etc. Honestly I think it’s just a formality that they post their quarterly earnings on car sales at this point.

These are robots that happen to have wheels and transport you places, not simply “cars.” If people can’t grasp that right now, I call it okay. Change is hard. They’ll come to this realization one way or another.

Good vibes down there? You staying In a hotel or camping or what? 18hrs plus supercharging from where I am. That’s two days probably by myself and three with kids just to get there.

Good vibes doesn’t begin to describe it. It’s awe inspiring seeing these amazing machines with your own eyes. Camping on cyberbeach staring at Mechazilla right now. And yeah, that’s a bit of a journey but well worth it. I’m getting spoiled down here.

Right now the tide is really high and the sand is super soft so I’m gonna hold off on doing sweet beach donuts or wade moding across the rio grande (might be illegal, who knows or cares), but it’s on the bucket list.

I mean, you’re the expert here, but isn’t only illegal if you get caught?
I kid, I kid. No need to drive 20hrs and arrest me. Enjoy the beach.
