Just mounted my brb escape tool today. Thank you again @CT_AZ_4x4 for the recommendation.

I used a strong magnet meant for holding knives I got on amazon:
CUCINO Magnetic Knife Holder for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BQ7LHW6N?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Mounted it to the side of my center console fridge thingy.
I also put some mechanics gloves in the door pocket.

I admit to having put a pathologically large amount of thought into this and it’s probably excessively paranoid but I’d rather not find out if it is or not.

The beastly part of it remains hidden and does not come close to touching the seat this way.
It’s pretty firmly on there with the magnet but can be easily removed by my wife.
Even if it came off in a high energy accident though it’s mostly between the seat and center console so protected from flying upwards by the seat cushion bolster and the “ear” of the safe.

Thanks for the recommendation. Did the exact same thing, and used the magnetic attachment on the side of our center console similar to what you did with the refrigerator. Works great and seems quite stable.

Sweet!i I feel better having it there. I also put some tightly rolled up mechanix gloves in the door pocket.
Thanks again @CT_AZ_4x4 for the awesome tool recommendation.

I see you made a lot of the same placement decisions as me. Good. Nice to know I’m not crazy. I thought about it a ton and there really isn’t a more logical way to position that thing I could see.

I put mine inside door. Feels like a great tool.

Awesome. Very logical placement. Also in an otherwise dead space and easily accessible. Well done.
Are you using the same magnetic knife holder I did?

Are y'all going with the 10 or 16 inch magnet? Does it seem to be strong enough that the bar won't be knocked off in an accident?

10” for me. Feels pretty firm. In my case enough of it is between the seat and center console that I feel like even if it were knocked off in a very high energy event I don’t think it would go flying. I think the door pocket area would be pretty safe too because it’s inside a “recess”

I ended up picking up the 30 in STANLEY FATMAX FUBAR to keep in my underseat storage for emergency egress. You have to be careful where/how you store stuff like this in your cabin, since everything becomes a missile during rollover or hard crash.

Badass looking tool. I ended up putting mine on a magnetic knife holder between my divers seat and center console/fridge. Thanks for the post @REM
