Cool thanks! Mine was off I'll test it out again today and report back.

It’s on all the time in mine. Have you checked the “keep aux power on” box in the UI?
Is the display on the battery showing both input and output numbers?
It’s at the bottom of “outlets and mods” in the CT unlike the x where it’s under charging

I recommend not using batteries this way, at least not without proper ventilation AND a reliable BMS. They get hot during continuous use, and add summer heat on top of that and it might not end well.

Short scary story (well, because it's Halloween): I had a similar setup and found my battery beeping after a long road trip. I was lucky to catch it in time because it was beeping, and clearly something was very wrong with the BMS. I couldn't revive it (tried everything, but the board was done), soI needed to recycle it (you can imagine: because it was a power bank, it could be beeping almost indefinitely).

This is just my experience, but I would be very careful with any batteries and power banks sitting IN your truck, especially in summertime when it gets very, very hot.

Thanks for the heads up. So far not an issue for me here in Phoenix but I do use cabin overheat protection set to 100f.
There is decent space around the battery for ventilation without the plastic powerbrick housing. What kind of battery were you using? Where in the truck was it?

It was my CT AWD, and for the battery... I don't remember the brand tbh (orange and black, but def not Jackery). I kept it in the passenger seat under-compartment.

Either way, keep an eye on the temperatures. I wired mine directly to the 48v - it's relatively simple, I'll upload the video sometime tomorrow.

Sounds good. Got me a little paranoid since you’re one of the best advice givers here without a doubt.
Pulled my setup apart yesterday. Battery is around 90f with outside temp around 80f. Ventilation seems decent.
So you wired to the frunk feed with a buck converter? My frunk feed periodically turns off when I use it continuously. Haven’t quite figured out why.

Because you need to toggle on "Keep accessories on" :) This way it will work indefinitely (the documentation says something like "unless the battery is very low" without specifying the 'very low' thing). Otherwise, all the power lines shut down about 20 to 30 minutes after you leave the truck (not immediately).

I did do that. Hmm. Every 4th or 5th day or so I’d come out and the frunk power feed would have turned itself off. I generally don’t run the battery that low.

Agreed. I just removed my BougeRV battery from my solution based upon your thoughts and @hemiarch . When I removed it, found my PLA printed stand I used to elevate the BougeRV had melted a bit, indicating high heat. Since I had already put a 48V to 12V converter in the Frunk and ran the power from there, it was a bit of overkill . . . See below for a pic of the stand that melted . . .

Mine never got that hot based on laser thermometer measurements but I’m glad you switched the wiring scheme. I have done the same.

PLA is a fairly low "disfigurement" temp, so it wasn't boiling, but just the same . . .

One other side note for those of us who have the refrigerator hooked up via the Frunk power . . . It appears when you take an update, it turns the power off to the frunk, so you have to manually go back into the control screen and switch it back on after the update is complete. This has happened to me last two updates. No big deal, just something to be aware of.

Yeah. You’ll find it also randomly turns itself off every once in a while. I still haven’t figured out what causes this and it really did seem random.
