Need help: Bridgestone Dueler A/T Ascent — Nokian Outpost NAT — BFGoodrich KO3

Hello friends,

Just had my 2nd tire rotation from Discount Tire yesterday and i was shocked they told me it would be my last rotation as my tread depth are getting close to 4/32..

Need new sets of tires soon? - this is crazy!

I’m not driving aggressively (as far I know, I could be wrong with aggressive driving interpretation) but I do drive to work every day during busy traffic hours (San Diego CA traffic - those who are from South CA knows what I mean)

This is my first truck but 2nd EV (other car Model Y), so I’m not that knowledgeable about truck tires..

I know there’s a bunch of tire threads out here but i was hoping to get more real life experience and info on the tires I’m currently looking at:

Bridgestone Dueler A/T Ascent
Nokian Outpost NAT
BFGoodrich KO3

I would really appreciate if anyone that currently uses any of tires above, if able to give any feedback, insight or advice.

Installed the Nokians about a week ago and they are fantastic. Just did a 250 mile trip with them this past weekend. Barely noticeable increase in noise and efficiency took a hit of 3.1% according to the truck. I used FSD for the entire drive. Truck came with Goodyear AT tires for comparison.
Took the truck into the mountains thru 6 fresh inches of snow on top of existing base we have. Noticeable difference compared to the Goodyears.

I installed the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Ascent. I love the look and found no noticeable increase in road noise on the highway.

I'll put my vote in for the Nokians as well. Installed them 3 weeks ago and since then we've been blasted with winter here in Iowa. Very pleased with their ability to handle snow & ice.

The OEM Pirellis only have 10/32nd tread depth brand new same with the Goodyear OEMs. I don't know why Tesla chose those 2 when there are a lot of better options for All Terrain tires. Most of them have 16 to 18/32nd tread depth.

KO3 are for owners who venture into off-roading. Ride will be stiff compared to the Pirellis and the other 2.
Nokian Outpost are the best for snow. Good reviews as well on dry roads.
Duelers are good tires as well that can take you to moderate off-roading

I just replaced my Pirellis with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT and spent 2 weeks watching every comparison videos regarding all terrain tires.

If you'll only take your truck on highway roads and dirt roads, get the Duelers. But if you go to the mountains for winter sports, get the Nokian.

If you'll only do city and highway driving, consider the Michellin Platinum LTX. Michellins are known for their tread life and on-road performance.

Now, if you want the Pirelli's again, I'm selling mine with 3k miles and 8.5/32nd

I can't speak to the other 2 options, but I bought a set of the Dueler A/T Ascent toward the end of Summer. Only drove on them about a month or so before it was time to switch to Winter tires, so I haven't had enough time to really get to know them. But my initial impression is favorable. Right off the bat, they're QUIET - I didn't realize the OEM AT Cyber tires were noisy (the Goodyear Wrangler RTs are noisier still) until I got the Duelers. The ride quality is excellent! Very smooth, confident tires, but they don't feel quite as aggressive in turns as the OEM ATs. I haven't put enough miles on them to say for sure, but they do SEEM to get a bit more range unladen, and when towing they're at least as efficient as the OEM ATs. But again, with such limited miles, I'll need the Spring and Summer to really determine how they compare. At any rate, I can say they look good and feel great. So even if their efficiency doesn't prove better, or even lags a little, I'd say they're a great option for the Cybertruck.

Interesting wrinkle: I wanted a second set of wheels, so I could mount a second set of tires and swap when needed (and use one for a spare) between an offroad/Winter set and a highway/Summer set. So I bought the Winter tire/wheel package, back in October and had that set mounted for the Winter. Very noisy tires, though they are solid performers. I got the Duelers back on the truck around mid-April, so I still have not logged too many miles on them.

HOWEVER. I am now quite certain the Duelers are VERY quiet and provide a smooth, comfortable ride. Handling is very predictable and confident. SOLID performance on wet roads, but I haven't had them in snow (whole other set of tires for that). Dirt and gravel roads... you wouldn't know you weren't on pavement. I haven't gone off-roading, or in the mud with them yet, but I'll be surprised if they don't handle those tasks at least respectably.

Without TOO MUCH experience with them (YET), I really do like the Duelers better than the OEM A/T tires. For general use, I VERY MUCH prefer them over the OEM Winter tires. I have not done any towing on the Duelers yet (I'm really disappointed about this), so I can't speak to this case yet. The OEM Winter tires did a great job towing my toy hauler through rain/snow/sleet on mountain highways; and even got better-than-expected efficiency while doing it. So, I'm not unhappy with the Winter tires, but they set some high expectations (of the Duelers) for towing range.

If the Duelers perform well in snow/sleet/ice, this Winter, I may abandon the OEM Winter tires and get a set of Defender LTX Platinum for towing - everyone seems to like that tire for highways. I'm still very curious about the Nokians, and I'd love to find someone with a set on a Cybertruck who'd be willing to do some trade-off test driving and compare with my Duelers. But for now, I'm tickled with the Dueler performance in every environment I've had them in. They could be, as far as I'm concerned, the best tire option for the Cybertruck.

Everyone will have their opinion, the best thing is to go to tirerack.com. Find the tires you're interested in, click the compare button. and choose based on what you prefer. They do their own testing of almost all the tires they sell. and also have user rated stats as well. So you can choose wear over comfort, or wet road performance vs wear, or snow performance. Or whatever suites you.

My opinion: I just got the K03s, and personally I think they look better than just about all the other options out there. but they also out perform aver other tire in almost every metric. I haven't noticed any extra road noise from inside. I can hear a bit at low speed with windows down, but it's quite enough that it's drowned out by wind at high speed. Also I've only got about 2000, miles on them, but it seems I'm getting better kwatt/mi than on the factory tires, I was not expecting this. I'm about to go on a long 1600 mile road trip at the beginning of July and I'll do a short review after, but I think I'm getting better range.
