They do… they are gearing up for Berlin dry cell production and getting the assembly line ready for that model in a more price sensitive market where the new cells will help them. Berlin 4680 lines should be up and running by the end of the year. Fully ramped in mid 27. It was always an interim supply, this just may lower how much supply they get (though probably not by much considering how much they have built up). They must have a good reason to want to put it into the Berlin Y, it would've otherwise made a whole lot more sense to put it into the US Standard Y. There's also the question of domestic Cathode production.
Possibly, but there wasn't a whole lot unique about the RWD that would've been sourced externally. The bed supplier, for example, is almost certainly the same as the Premium's.
Genius, it's the same thought (i.e. a supply constraint). Only a question of what it is.
The supplier is likely the same, but the bed is different. Bilstein produces millions of struts in their Mexican factory, but they are different and need time to spool unique products back up. It isn’t like the lines sit dormant waiting for Tesla. Tesla has to reorder and get in line.
