OMG my GPS and FSD is going crazy. Driving along and the red arrow that showed where you are on the map, started moving away from the route. So the FSD started to reacted to it and trying to reroute. Truck slowed down on high way and tried to change route to comply. The whole thing was so crazy and scary. I haven’t been be able to use it during this last week. Is anyone else having this issues? If so how did you fixed it? Here is a short clip of what it’s doing.

I was able to capture it near the end when it snapped back. FSD was not on, otherwise an accident would have happened.

Software is on 2026.2.9.1
FSD is on: 14.2.2.5

I doubt an accident “would have happened…”

The GPS is only one input. Your vehicle was never at the location of the red arrow, right? And even if FSD WAS engaged, it would not go into opposing traffic lanes, right?

There is a little hyperbole here. Did you put in a service ticket?

I’ve had this be a problem for about a month then spontaneously correct with no obvious reason.

Hi, so when the GPS move and put the red on on a residential st.

Navigation started rerouting.

FSD started changing lane to fallow suites.

I’m sorry man. But the whole thing is scary. I took over asap. When I took control truck was already making a maneuver.

When you going 75 and things happened fast. I can tell you I wouldn’t want to sit there and wait and see what happened.

Yes services has been scheduled

I had GPS issues on my 2024 cybertruck and took it in for service five different times with the issue that you describing, where the GPS icon would drift on the map and then FSD and navigation would start rerouting and sometimes creating sketchy circumstances. Ultimately they had to buy back the truck and I now have a 2026 cybertruck that doesn’t have the same issue.

What I noticed is it took about 20 minutes for this problem to appear and for the tuck to start malfunctioning. I always suspected it was the computer and the issue presented itself once it got to higher operating temperatures.

Even though I asked for the computer to be replaced, for some reason, Tesla would not approve that repair and actually suggested buyback before I even mentioned it. The buyback process was a pain in the ass and it took several months but ultimately worked out and I got most of my money back less mileage.

Oh that is very interesting, would you happened to have any video or pictures of your issues? Would love to compare

After a drive through car wash, sometimes the arrow does that. It corrects itself after a couple minutes though. The cameras still see the road lines and stay in the lane.

is it inconvenient? sure. a problem? could be

but

this irrelevant overblown sensationalism does not make the issue any more or any less dangerous that it was. The truck wasn't swerving or stopped in the middle of the freeway or spinning donuts. Not saying it shouldnt be mentioned or inquired - sure - but , we all know it wasnt
so crazy and scary
