Never owned an EV but fell in love with the Cybertruck. I am a huge "car guy" and a huge horsepower person. My fun car is a 2004 Dodge Viper with a built 522 stroker and twin 78mm turbos built by Underground Racing in Charlotte. This is my 4th Viper, the other 3 were all supercharged ranging from 700-990 rwhp, had a built Mustang, and had an FBO E85 GTR (really fun car). I have never not modded a car or it was already modded when I purchased.

I live in Florida and this is my work truck for my businesses, and I drive about 35k miles a year, mostly highway traveling between companies. My current truck is a 2021 F150 Rocky Ridge (5.0 Coyote V8 motor with a Livernois tuner) which I have really enjoyed but the driving is killing my body and time with so much windshield time I can actually get stuff done while in the truck. I have to have the FSD, have to have a truck as I transfer inventory between locations often, and the EV part is a nice bonus as I was spending about $7k a year on gas. I ordered a 2026 Premium AWD and was in the queue for a couple weeks waiting on a VIN assignment and would always check the sites for a good deal on a lightly used one and happen to stumble on a 2025 Cyberbeast with 14k miles. Made a call, purchased on the phone, and waiting for it to be shipped to FL. Wife hates it but she hasn't been in one and is judging from the exterior look. I am beyond excited to join the club. All the threads have been very helpful as I am sure the learning curve is going to be steep with all the technology which I am not used to, hell 2 of the Vipers didn't even have traction control lol.

Congrats. you have to supervise fsd so not sure how much you can get done in the truck vs your f150
It's mostly for being able to take notes of a phone call or reference/read an email. Biggest factor for me will be not having to be as intense driving.

Thanks, can't wait. The tech is amazing and the fact that a 7,000 lb brick can do 0-60 in 2.6 seconds is crazy.

I am in medical devices and I work on FSD all the time. Also about 30-35k miles a year. I can download, work up and email cases out while the truck drives me. Just glance every once in a while, or wear sunglasses, you’d be surprised how much you can go without interventions.

Congrats!

Similar story. First EV, going on two years of ownership in May. On my third Viper (Nth Moto Heads/Cam). Truck is a perfect daily driver.

This was my first EV as well. I daily drove some nice sporty cars before it—Corvette, M5, AMG GT S—so I totally get the whole ICE thing. I absolutely love the Cybertruck though, and I’ll never go back to ICE for my daily driver!

I’ve done all kinds of mods to it now (and keep adding more). It’s become a new hobby I didn’t know I needed. I’m now completely addicted to FSD too.

I still enjoy ICE cars—I’m literally doing a frame-up restoration on a C3 Corvette right now, for example—but my AMG sits forlornly in the garage parked next to my CT. I find myself using it only once or twice a month to keep the battery charged, the fuel from spoiling, and the seals limber. I do still enjoy it, but if I had to choose today, I’d keep only the beast.

As an aside, I’m not sure who your home power provider is in Florida, but if it’s FPL, look seriously at their EV home charger program (FPL EVolution). They just changed their rate structure, so I’m not sure of the current specifics for new users, but I’m paying a flat $38 a month for unlimited night and weekend charging (plus all major holidays). This covers 95% of my charging needs. I only use Superchargers on extended trips.

By the way, I also now have zero charger or range anxiety. You might have a bit now since it’s all new to you, but the Tesla Supercharging network, software, and infrastructure are incredible—it all just works. Welcome to the club!

CONGRATS!! One word of caution: This car (I have a 9/2024 Cyberbeast) will crush your desire to own so many other cars. The acceleration is what I call surgical meaning you can literally place the car anywhere you want. Beyond blinding!. I am 18 months in and obsessed. Seldom drive my 2006 Boxtser with a $45,000 4.3 liter build. ENJOY!!

Welcome to the club!

The Beast is great, because it looks almost identical to the AWD, but it is a sleeper that blows it away. I finally had an opportunity to try an AWD and I was falling asleep with that grandma mobile. Beast is next level fun, enjoy it!

Congrats and welcome! You are going to love it. FSD is a total game changer. The tesla platform is so different from anything else and will have you questioning why no one else has done what they have done. From the app integration with the vehicle, navigation, GUI speed etc etc. Then you load all that up into the CT package and it is truly impressive. Your use case with all that highway driving is similar to my brother who does about 20k per year in his CT AWD FS up and down the west coast and he agrees that it is awesome. Look forward to your perspective and updates.

Welcome to the club! My wife is still not in love with the exterior look, but she sure loves riding in it! It’s an incredible ride, you will not regret it!

Beautifull Gen V you have! I had 2 GTS's both 97 blue & white (wish I kept those) with Roe supercharger and then an 03 with a Paxton, I am in love with turbo's now!
