How did you find that it was activated? Did you just go into the Audio menu and find the setting? Or were you notified via the little blue dots?

Yes, the blue dot will appear under the Audio settings, then scroll down to see the new ANC function enabled.

Has the roll-out stalled? Normally, I get an update 2-3 days after it's detected but 2026.2.9.1 with the ANR has yet to appear for me.

so to update on my experience in a 2026 AWD CT, the first couple days i saw the ANC calibrating and even when it was finished calibrating, it would deactivate when it heard music.

TODAY -- a couple of days later after the update, this morning the system stayed on and didn't complain about the music, so it seems it does work full-time , it just needed more time to calibrate.

Mine is still goes back to calibrating and disabling with music. Maybe I just need more time for it to fully calibrate.

And yet, the CT makes you turn off music in order for it to calibrate.



I’m still waiting for you to show me where in the release notes it states that it works while music is playing.


Edit: Don’t get me wrong here guys, I seriously hope you are right, and I’d love to be proven wrong here. But we’ve got a post claiming it says on the screen that ANC is disabled when musics turns on, and others (namely you two) claiming it keeps working. Nobody offering actual proof.

Correction: I have not said that it DOES work when the music is on, just that it COULD work with the music on. My FSB has the update but no ANR as of yet. I was just trying to counter an incorrect assumption that ANR cannot work if you have music playing. I offered an example of active noise cancellation (as opposed to active noise reduction) that most certainly DOES work with music playing, guns, explosions, etc.

I did not mean to mislead anyone into believing I know CT ANR works with the music playing. It does make sense that it may need silence to initially figure out what silence is.

Curious. How close are your ears to being inline with the two microphones as you drive? It is my understanding that the ANR optimizes the sound in the space between the microphones.

It doesn’t pop up. If you have the settings showing where the toggle for ANR while driving text will appear next to it saying it is calibrating and give a percentage.

Is this a FS thing? Or a AT wheels thing. Any non-FS with AT wheels reported with ANC, yet?

My 26 AWD received it with original update, and has shown “Optimized for front seat occupants”, but hear no difference. 5 foot six with 68 year old ears. I think I need a booster seat.
