All of the parts necessary to transform my plaid into a 200 mph, self-driving unicorn. *Well, technically, all of the boxes from those parts with my old parts in them, as well as my stock arachnid wheels.

Shout out to my wife for driving my truck so I could pick up the parts and the Plaid at the same time!

Also, after well over a year of ownership, this is the first time I’ve seen my truck being driven by someone else. Man, that thing looks good on the road!!

All four arachnid wheels plus a pallet full of goodies all comfortably tucked into the bed. No interference with/from my awesome Mars roof rack. Service Manager noted that with the wheels just propped up like they are, it looks like a Baja truck.

Rotors, and calipers, and brake parts! Oh, my!

The refreshed calipers and rotors on the late 2023 plaid we’re already fantastic but those don’t unlock the 200 mph speed and these carbon ceramics are just massive!!

These Zero G wheels are beautiful, but they’re getting powder coated bronze to complete this configuration.

Yes!

It clears with the very slim pack out boxes. These ones are a little too wide so I have to pop them off to get into the smugglers bay. Not ideal, but for me (I keep my compressor, tire iron, repair kit, backup drill and tools, utility blanket, trailer hitch in the bay), I don’t need to get in there all the time so it works.

other than the normal camping gear, the things that the CT has brought to the party are:

thule outset hitch tent - now officially the most comfy tent ive slept in.

ikea inducton range - simple to use and quick

breville bambino - pulls a good shot

the home depot husky bins - great for storage and tentside tables

tmat keeping everything organized and allowing for slide in/out kitchen.

two trek domane AL bikes. would be nice to be able to remove the back seat. had to remove the front tires.

cybercooler seems to be working well too!

That’s what I thought I was looking at. Really been wanting to find a good deal on one of those Thules. Any regrets? Unforeseen issues?

after shedding a tear after the initial payment lol no regrets. it really is the best of both worlds for a rtt:
-youre off the ground - game changer. best sleep ive had in a tent.
-quick to set up. especially for two, but one person can also set it up quick.

and it eliminates some of the downsides of an rtt:
-you can (very easily) take it off the car and stow it in a garge when youre done so its not a constant range hit.
-after you set up you can drive away and leave the tent up at camp.
-if you need to get up in the middle of the night, use any of the 3 doors to just get out and youre not getting up from the ground, AND also theres not a ladder to fall down.
- the range hit is similar to the thinnest rtt’s + rack out there mainly because it s like a huge sail when stowed and hitched.

things all tents have it has too:
good blackout and bug screens
lots of pockets inside

some good things it has that few tents have:
-you can leave the rainfly attached, but its still easy to attach. it snaps on to the frame.
- theres a protected storage area now under your tent for firewood, shoes, power bank, etc etc

one bad thing: leveling is necessary for comfort and to make it easier to rehitch, you basically want to make sure that youre never installing it with legs fully extended - which i learned during my driveway test, but amazon sells millions of types of rv leveling pads and when I used those it made it much easier.

its price is basically on par with most ct bed racks + rtt.

That looks like a nice tent, do the legs on the platform adjust to unlevel ground? That would be a huge plus, allowing the tent to pitched in places ground tents can't.

Also, do you have a photo of it buttoned up in travel mode?

yep, but the trick would getting it there. its heavy. and you have to deploy it while its still hitched.

This was a short haul. It's a heavy steel workbench with a hardwood wood work surface and stainless steel cabinets and drawers for the furnace room. It was delivered by a semi-truck that was too big to fit down the alley where our garage is located. So I backed up the Cybertruck to the semi-trailer (using extract mode) and the driver and I slid it in the bed, about a 9" drop from the semi-trailer bed. Then I drove around and backed it into the garage where I was able to unload it myself, thanks to "Easy Entry" mode and a short stack of 2x6 boards under the front tires to get gravity working in my favor.

The Cybertruck is the real deal. As I was sliding this heavy monster (still on the pallet) out of the bed, I got to the point where the pallet was centered on the rear lip of the tailgate and all the weight of the entire load was balanced (teeter-tottering) on that little plastic lip on the top edge of the tailgate as I slid the pallet towards the garage floor. The wood pallet had a lot of friction on the tailgate edge because it was so heavy (480 lbs.), but it didn't tear off the lip or damage it at all. The bed had no scratches either, it's really tough!

This would have been a nightmare to unload solo from my previous F-150, I don't think I would have risked getting it out solo with the high bed height, and the pallet would have caught on the steel cover plate of the tailgate access hole and bent the lip (as it's done at least 20 times before). I had to keep unscrewing that plate from the F-150's tailgate to bend the steel edges inward to prevent it from catching on future cargo. But it would always get dished, causing the edges to start catching on cargo again. Bad design, if you want to use it like a truck. When Ford says the maker of the best-selling truck in America really knows how their customers use their trucks they are just blowing hot air up your ass. Tesla got the bed of the Cybertruck right, it just plain works and makes everything a bit easier, especially with Easy Entry mode.
