Hello folks,

I wanted to share my experience replacing the OEM Cyber wheels with 18-inch Atomic wheels and Nokian tires, and also show some photos — since I couldn’t find much information about this setup when I was researching this wheel and tire combo.

I decided to go with 18-inch wheels for better comfort and overall appearance. I live in SoCal, so snow performance isn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s still a factor since I occasionally take mountain trips and travel to Utah in the winter.

So far, the tires feel great on the road. I wouldn’t call them silent, but the noise level is acceptable to my ear. I’ve noticed they’re not entirely consistent — sometimes a bit louder over the same pavement compared to other days.

The wheel and tire combo weighs around 83 lbs, which is lighter than the OEM Cyber wheels and the lightest all-terrain option among similar tire brands.

I also went with titanium lug nuts, which in my opinion are kind of a waste of money — but at least they look good and have a nice closed-end design.

As for efficiency, I’ve seen about a 10 % drop during the first 500 miles, though my numbers might not be perfectly accurate.

Overall, I’m really pleased with this setup — even though it set me back nearly $5K, lol.

Was the roughly 10% range loss coming from AT tires or all season tires?

I have enjoyed the Outpost's for the last 15k or so. Very good. Mostly two track and dirt roads. 80%. No complaints on highway. Very stiff for winter even though they have destination. Goodyear offer from Tesla winter Duratrac was a softer feel with fingers at first touch. Have both. Enjoy.

Nice looking tires!

Are there no tire and wheel combinations that don't decrease efficiency from the stock All Season tires?

The amount of research ( both time and money) that goes into an OEM wheel/ tire setup is not an afterthought. Those OEM Goodyear AT tires were specifically designed for the CT and it shows.

Thanks for this OP. Probably the tire choice I’m going with for the AW 18” wheels whenever I get my SAWD. I’ve noticed not as many tire choices for the 18” wheel. My biggest concern is the noise level and these while looking way more aggressive seem to be the ticket.

I saw a review video today of the Toyo open country AT. I had been considering Falken Wildepeak AT4W, because of the long life, and high weight capacity, and they look awesome. Evidently the Toyo's are 10 lbs lighter, and supposedly similar treadwear warranty, but louder, and less aggressive off road. So now Ill have to figure out that mess. I did find a similar wheel to the OP, that I can get custom done to my specs, and its almost 5 lbs lighter than the stock 18 inch steel wheel. So my new wheel and the Toyo may actually be a lighter, more aero setup than stock, which may offset some of the more aggressive tread?

Can we see the wheel? Stock offset?
This is just the render from the vendor, and then I asked ChatGPT to put it in a Cybertruck with the wildepeak. But I think the scale is wrong. I don’t think the wheel will be this big on the truck. This looks more like a 20, but I asked it twice, and this is what it came up with. I did these in 9.5 width, so I’d get flatter tread patch, and straighter sidewalls. I did bead seats knurl, so I can air down in sand and keep the tire bead seated, without running bead locks. I did 40mm offset. I didn’t want them to stick out real far, but wanted them to clear everything. I also specifically asked about drum clearance for the calipers. I sent them a few videos for reference. They “said” it’s accounted for (I’m hopeful on this). The center cap is a floating design, so the logo should always be upright.
Before I get banned, I’m not a vendor. I’m not trying to compete with vendors. These aren’t forsale. Another member mentioned a pathway in another thread. I did a ton of research, and this is what I came up with. They are ordered, and will hopefully arrive in 50 days. I ordered my SAWD early, and used a 2020 reservation I’ve been sitting on, so I’m hopeful I’ll get the truck this year.
I am torn between the Toyo and Falken. I’ve got some old jeep rewards points to use, so I’ll finally spend those on these tires.
One caveat on these. They are fully forged, but the weight rating is only 2500 lbs. They’ll be great for the SAWD, but I would not put them on a beast that you tow a bull dozer every day, 300 miles. I haul max 10 sheets of plywood or a pallet of mulch, so I should be ok. I won’t get over 10K LBS.
