Any kits out there to maybe suction cup to the dash or some front windows?

Thanks

if youre going dashboard check out this thread:

https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...nt-starlink-mini-dashboard-mount-video.52368/

ive found that the best place to put it is as close as possible to the windsheld on the passenger side. no visibility issues, and some kind of dark cover is a must, otherwise youll get a glare.

mine works great there and I have 70%vlt
tint with max UV blocking.

getting a peakdo battery will also allow you to take it on the trail. I got a great signal on the top of Old Rag in Shenandoah.

I use string 150lbs magnets which hold my flat black wrapped veritas vans mount to the defroster grill.
Not visually intrusive and works well there.

pretty clean! what is the pad that its on? are the magnets sticking to something inside of the dash?

and @Cyberdoc18 - dont forget about the CT wifi setting to “remain connected in drive” when you are in the middle of nowhere so that you can continue to rockout with space internet while travelling at 80mph

and did you paint the veritas mount dark or do they offer a dark top?

Thanks. It’s not on any pad. Just has four magnetic feet on it. The dash itself is non-ferrous so the ones closest to the driver are not really stuck but they serve to level the whole thing and if you wanted to remove the mini and stick it to the hood or anywhere else on our steel trucks while parked.
turns out that grill back there where I think the defrost heat comes out IS ferrous. With strong enough magnets (in this case 150lbsx2) it doesn’t budge even with very aggressive driving and off-roading. Once you feel how it sits on there the projectile concern becomes almost moot. At least it did for me.
This is the mount:

I wrapped the white part with flat black to stop the glare.
In the picture I have my two top shades sitting on the dash on either side which is where I store them for quick access use.
Being black they sort of hide there

Will it stay put with a beast launch?

I don’t know but it stays put without any issue with an AWD 0-60.
Not the same thing but maybe encourages some optimism. It would have to overcome about 300lbs which is of course entirely possible but in my opinion unlikely.

ohhhhh the shades are creating a negative space in front that the starlink just sits in. looks bespoke!

last questions (for today…maybe): wrapped with flat black what? and I saw on the veritas site some kind of add on adapter for the peakdo battery…are you using that?

No. Mine runs on my frunk power outlet along with my center console fridge through an auxbeam. This stays on even when level 2 charging, supercharging or the car is asleep so it consumes basically no detectable juice and there is continuous refrigeration and WiFi in the car. Only time that turns off is during a software update.
I ran with a battery for a while but they get uncomfortably hot anywhere you leave them continuously running in the car. I’d advise just keep the peak-do or similar charged somewhere if you really want to retain the ability to take the mini away from your truck.
The wrap is just a piece of excess flat black ppf my wrap guy had in his shop he was going to trash. I want to say flexishield but I don’t remember to be honest. You could use anything really as long as it is flat black or even just put some black cloth over it.
there is a huge difference in glare from white though by doing that. It basically entirely eliminates the reflection .
I’ve never had any thermal issues with it here in Arizona but my windshield is also tinted.
not crazy limo tint but tinted nonetheless.
