Didn't read the entire Thread but as of today, Tesla shows zero Cybertruck's in inventory new or used and that has been the case for many months now.

Based upon VIN#'s I'm guessing +/- 100k Cybertrucks units have been produced thus far. Lets say 10K of those went to Tesla/SpaceX and a couple thousand to the middle east so that puts about 90K US Cybertruck's running around.

I'm in No Cal and see at least 1 every day when I'm out and about (they are pretty easy to spot /s) and I think there are more in So Cal but like the other Tesla Models, CA has more than any other state.

I am in NorCal as well and see tons of them in my area (foothills/eldo county). They are certainly no longer an uncommon sight......

The SpaceX CT buy was like 1250 units or so for that Q4 push they had; taking the total CT units registered to SpaceX to about 1600 now. No idea what they could be using that many for

I could not find out how many Tesla has registered for themselves but I do see them when they are working on our local superchargers so I am sure there is plenty in service for that. But yeah even if 10K are not with proper 'end users' the fact that the other 90K +/- is and that alone makes it the best selling EV truck.

Looks like our secret of how awesome this sport truck is has finally gotten out lol.....

He's way off
What Doug may have meant to say "I don't know how to attract Cybertruck buyers to Cars&Bids. Heck, I don't know how to attract sellers either. A lot of Cybertrucks are selling at decent values, I just want my slice of the action so I'll make an inflammatory video to drive clicks and hopefully bids on my other auctions. Then I can wear four more t-shirts in my next car review video."

Estimates based on VINs will be too high, because Tesla doesn't use every VIN. Some VINs are discarded and never get issued.

There was a recent recall that affected all Cybertrucks produced through October 11, 2025. The documentation listed the total number of affected CTs at 63,619. That was 7 months ago; the number of CTs produced would be somewhere around 70,000 to 75,000 now.

The cars sold out so fast—too many people came to buy them.
Boy, that was quick! People are coming to realize just how much they have been misled about the Cybertruck by bad-actors.

I want the latest front motor (it’s quieter) and PCS version. These used ones aren’t for me.
I love the little chirp-chirp noise the OG one makes 😅

Not sure if that math is correct on production numbers; but we can all chime in and check (just out of curiosity) I have two 2026 beasts and here is the Vin/Build months

2/26 - 90974
4/26 - 94678

So if even at the most conservative build dates 2/1/26 and 4/31/26 that would be just shy of 2k units a month. Curious if anyone has a build date of late 2025 to see what the vins were at then......

Here's a thread started on September 12, 2025 by someone who purchased a CT out of inventory:
New CT AWD Owner, First EV - 80XXX VIN

So the VINs were already at 80,000+ in inventory in September 2025. Shortly afterwards, the NHTSA announced a parking light recall, which affected all Cybertrucks produced through October 11, 2025. And the total number of affected vehicles was only 63,619. So the VINs have been running well ahead of actual production.

Another way to estimate Cybertruck numbers is to check the Cox sales estimates for the US. Their: numbers:

2023: too small to break out
2024; 38,965
2025: 20,237
2026: 3,519 (1st Quarter only)

Total thru 1Q 2026: 62,721. But that's US only. Throw in another 10% for Canada, Middle East, and South Korea and it could be 70,000. Add some more for April and May 2026 and it could be 75,000.
