I've seen this discussed before, not sure if anything changed. Radio keeps coming back on whenever vehicle is opened. I NEVER use the radio, I play my music from the USB. On a brief stop it resumes playing (from the beginning) the current track. But after some time it comes back to the annoying radio thingy. Likewise no matter how much I stop the radio playback prior to exiting the vehicle, it ALWAYS comes back on. Is it perhaps worth bringing it up as a "service appointment" item ?

Music automatically plays when the vehicle turns on if it was playing when you exited. If you use a usb or phone, it can revert to the radio.

Most use streaming and it resumes the stream.

Everything you are saying is what was said before, but that's not what I am currently observing.

1) When loading/unloading, I frequently open and close vehicle doors and it will switch on the radio if there is sufficiently time in between. I switch off the radio before closing the doors, but it comes back again.

2) It only stays on USB if there is a short enough park time. After an hour or so it goes back to playing the radio.

I had this happen a few times after the last update. It seems to have resolved itself after several times of choosing music in my Apple Music app. Maybe an update bug?

yeah, that sounds like a software bug. you should report it, but also do you ever use the radio at all? I wonder if you can disable it as a source like you can the others.

Also, it is possible that your usb stick is going bad intermittently.

also-also: make sure you perform an MCU reboot. Good practice after every firmware update.

Sorry, my bad - it's not the radio in the normal sense, but the thing they call Tune-In which can't be disabled in that list. I have the Radio already disabled as well as everything else that can be disabled since I have my music collection on the USB as I'm often operating in the areas without cell coverage.

I use an aftermarket USB SSD drive, no reason to suspect any issues with it.

I've done some reboots for unrelated reasons over the months, but this problem has been happening specifically after an update a few months ago and I may have even posted about it in the other thread. I'm just at a point where I've got a laundry list to bring up with the service, and wanted to make sure it's not just me doing something.

Edit:
this is one thread that I started on the topic a while back https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...nt-doesnt-remember-last-drive-settings.39381/
but I believe I also commented in other people's threads about it. So this has been going on for almost a year now...

that’s weird, in my video up there Tune-is is ticked off. It’s near the bottom of the list.

yea that is weird, maybe tick on Carokee (or whatever else) and load that up for a dumb song and then go back in see if the Tune-in becomes selectable. Thought is unable to tick off while in use.

That's a good theory, but note that Youtube Music is also greyed out... one of the two can't be in use while the other is.
