Switched to Hankook Ion HT 275/65/20 on Cyberwheels to try & boost efficiency

Next datapoint on range. Did a 1250 mile trip over the weekend, almost/all freeway, on FSD, Standard mode. Campbell to LA to Blythe to Campbell, all in CA. Included around 100 miles of off road driving, desert dirt roads.

My previous 23k miles average with the Pirelli Scorpions was 365.3 Wh/mi
Since getting the Hankook tires I now have 1779 miles at 381.9 Wh/mi
A decrease (or is that called increase) of 4.5%
Not too bad for a tire that is a lot cheaper and should have longer (twice?) the durability. Durability still to be proven though.

Now my lifetime numbers are 24,904 miles at 366.5 Wh/mi.

Just before going on this roadtrip I had 500 miles at 362.6Wh/mi, so the roadtrip cost quite some efficiency. Maybe because it was hot, so the airco was on all the time? Also I had the outlets on for a mini fridge and Starlink, not sure if that amount (it is not that much) is included in the numbers the truck reports?

Did you adjust for tire size? (34.1" v 34.6"....or 1.4% smaller with the ion HT)
I believe it would actually make it even less effecient.....I'm surprised that the light weight hancooks are less efficient than the pirellis (although the pirellis are light as well)

I was back and forth on this.....just bit the bullet (couldn't pass up the deal) 4 Hankook ion HT and install just over $1000 (amazon has them right now for $238 each and $25 for install locally)

No, I did not factor in the slightly smaller size. What I reported are the numbers straight from the truck. I do not know any setting that can tell the truck to use different ”distance for different tire sizes” settings.

My latest numbers are as of yesterday:
Hankook 3365 miles, at 372.7 Wh/mile, slightly improved from the 381.9 at 1779 miles. I assume just the mix of long freeway versus suburban driving? Or does ambient temperatures have an impact? Using your 1.4% the recalculated number would then be 378.2

My lifetime overall numbers are now 26490 miles at 366.3 Wh/mile (truck numbers); if I recalculate the miles on the HK it comes to 26443 at 366.9 Wh/mile

Not sure why the HK are less efficient as the Pirellis, but from reading the different threads here it was my expectation that this would the case.
Maybe Granch knows where the difference could come from:?
