Legacy auto publications unsurprisingly meeting narrative requirements to target sheep:

Tesla Cybertruck Tested! The 845-HP 2024 Cyberbeast Annihilates Bugattis and Common Sense [Motortrend] 1715367319473-l

"Terrible visibility"? While it may not have the visibility of a Model 3/Y, it still has better visibility than other pickup trucks with a long flat hood, like the Silverado/Sierra with the long protruding hood and accents, or better visibility to the front than many cars like the Mustang or Charger for the same reasons.

"Permanently grimy stainless-steel.." Yes it will be a finger print magnet, but so will barbecue grills or other stainless steel items. Paint can be a finger print magnet too or "grimy" at times. They were really reaching for Cons, as most buyers already know the issues and benefits of stainless-steel.

"Extremely compromised" was not supported by any examples in the article.

In fact the article had a lot of crow eating praise for the Cyberbeast, mixed in with a few slights toward style and appearance to discount it when they could.

Their main objective was to get the headlines visible at the top of the article, so predictable.

I'm fine with it being polarizing though, because when I get mine it will be that much more special - to me, because I give zero F's about what anyone else thinks.

They should revise that conclusion, as the CT is meant to be used with the screen providing rear and side views.

In other words, they didn't even know how to drive the vehicle.

In regards to the embedded video, wow! Complaining about how the truck drives off-road, and acting like it shouldn't move around...wow! Can't do truck things, impossible to load items. Wow. How can all those trucks out there that are lifted ever do "truck" things?

Also, having driven a Cybertruck for over 2 months, I have no issue with blind spots either.

What really kills me is they'll never understand why YouTubers are killing them and their old fashioned car magazine. Authenticity and trust beats "authorities" every time. I'm sure they'll feel bad when they get laid off too...

Whoa...this is sick! Me Like!
Yeah, it’s almost like a Tesla Easter Egg, or better yet, when you see it…
The first time I saw it posted, people kept saying how cool it was. Well, I didn’t think it was a big deal, it’s a satin black cybertruck. ? Then I saw the Cyberus heads. I was like ? It’s subtle, but once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Very cool.

perhaps! I created another thread a while back confirming the newest update had still not removed the ~113mph limit on the CB…. Not sure why 130mph is taking so long to unlock…
Aha! I tried to reach top speed recently and it petered out after 110, now I know why.

I honestly agree with the "terrible visibility" assessment. I'm waiting for a software update to change the resolution for the "rear view mirror" camera view. It is too wide angle and you can't tell distances for cars behind you. The A pillars also obstruct forward visibility in a tight corner.

This doesn't mean I don't love my CT; I do. It's awesome, but it's not perfect.

Although I think the CB is the best car I have ever owned I agree with a couple of the points made in the article. The visibility is not good at the front and A pillar and the brakes are not confidence inspiring. I have no issues with the side mirrors and camera set up for the rear view mirror though which I think work great.

If you agree with that, then that is from the point of view of mirror + cameras.

One trick to improve the Rearview camera view is to swipe right on the screen. It keeps the larger size of the Rearview camera but moves it closer to the driver (basically centered atop the screen), making it much more natural to use as a Rearview.
