What’s y’all’s response to HOW MUCH DID THAT COST

Multiple times the first question asked by random people is how much did that cost? How do you guys respond to this. I’m trying to not come off as douchy or snoby. I’ve always driven old ass cars and this is a new world to me.

I remember when manners existed. Seems like decades ago now. I tell kids it was a few bucks. Adults get the truth. Who cares what people think, I don’t.

It cost 100k. Seems pretty easy to say. If it was 150k I would be kind of shy. 100k trucks are easy to build these days in many brands.

Back in the early S days. It was "What do you do for a living?" rather than how much does it cost.
I was a little young for an S at that time.

As for manners. I don't know I usually have a smile. People find me approachable I guess. So I answer questions. If an ass presents itself. I say sorry gotta go. Wife has supper on the table.

I say they start at $60k, and that this early one is $100k because they make you get all the options and pay a premium.

Most people are amazed that it is “only” about $100k since it looks so exotic. But again I live in LA where you see Rolls Royce and Lamborghini trucks at every corners. I do believe the CT is a bargain though.

I find the question incredibly rude and I've been surprised by how unaware people are of what trucks actually cost across all brands.

Definitely not the take I'm seeing from the vast majority of people talking about the truck. My Lightning got this feedback all time time, which was well deserved. When people find out about my CT order, I get feedback like "WHHHOOOAAA, Mr. 860 credit score!"

What do you mean? Actual owners saying the truck is overpriced or internet trolls that have never seen one in their life blabbing that it is a $100k fridge? From the discussions in this forum it appears to me that even owners that have quality issues are not disputing that it is well worth the price tag otherwise.

I tell kids 80k for dual motor but there are 3 models. 60,80,100k. I don’t bother with the foundation crap. It’s hard explaining that.

At $100k it’s “well priced” but at $72.5 I would agree it’s a bargain for what it is
