The truck was driving out of the ditch, towards the grass, so it didn't reach the grass.

The bigger question is what was to the right of the photo that ripped off the side? At that point it was standing upright in what looks like an open field.

I want to see the footage.

If the Grand Canyon is a ditch, maybe. The missing rear wheel and right side suggests the “ditch” may have included a guard rail or ‘Jersey barrier’ to preclude vehicles from entering the ditch. I don’t mean to down play the horrific ride that accompanied this misfortune but ending up in a ditch does not warrant this damage without some other influence. Thanks for sharing the photos, they certainly reveal a side to the cybertruck we have not seen. (Edit: RR wheel is ON, just hidden)

Someone on X (Greg maybe) said it went on it's side, and then landed back on it's tires. That would explain why one side is sheared off.

Does it strike anyone else as odd that there is very little damage otherwise? The glass looks intact on roof (albeit windsheild pushed in) but none of the other panels are dented (or really even scratched?) Looks like a hella safe place to be, honestly
