I got the colored PPF in satin. Would have preferred matte but the price was right. Did you prep a panel at a time or the whole thing? Dust, even small amounts is always around so I was just going to do sections. Like the front. Then doors. The panels.

One at a time for sure. I was in and out with other cars in the garage over the 3 days. I just kept the garage shut while I was working.

I guess my only concern for you would be about your PPF wrap since it is colored, which must mean it’s going to wrap around all panels. I assume the adhesives “slip” activated versus heat gun like mine. That to me would possibly lead me to have someone else to do it.

My matte PPF for hood and grill from TSportline were cut perfectly to each panel, no wrap around.

Perhaps your ppf is heat activated though?

I just don’t think I’m patient enough on wrapping ppf around corners. The heat gun seemed easy to me and pretty quick.

Just one data point to consider IMO.

I haven’t watched all the videos yet. Just clicked on the prep one and life got in the way. But they sent a heat gun so the corners must be heat and adhesive activated.

So I just did the hood to see how it would go. Figure worst case I get another piece and take to my installer. I'd say it went pretty good. I had a hell of a time getting all the bubbles out, seems no matter what I did one would get trapped, pull up and try again, maybe I need more spray. And I have 2 specs of something under it. Most will never notice.

@Freemarket Nice looking job on the CT. Honestly, I was pretty convinced on doing my CT in matte black. Yours has me considering white now. (y)

Looks very good and probably saved you a load of $. Went to see how much for just front grill would cost. $350 for grill, $500 for 3/4 front. Couldn’t imagine the cost of the whole vehicle. LOL Guy ended up telling me if I plan on selling vehicle in the next five years to just save my money. lol.

The whole kit is price is $1200 for clear matte. Priced by piece it’s a lot more $.

Freemarket do you have videos doing the DIY ? Do you have some channel to follow ?
I took one time lapse of me doing the door, but the file was too big to update. I do have a YouTube channel, but I haven’t posted anything on it related to the CT or the wrap.

TSportline has all the DIY videos you need on YouTube. I followed their videos step by step.

After coming back from dinner, the wrap settled in and removed pretty much all imperfections just with time. Super happy with the results. On to the rest tomorrow, fun and rewarding project. Watch the video series from part 1 on.

I saw those videos ... but yours would be the actual DIY'r video ...

I am thinking of buying Bulk roll and try my knife skills too ...
That’s hilarious. Bulk roll, that’s brave, but honestly, you could do it, go for it!!!
