I love my CyberTruck! I wash it regularly and am constantly cleaning floor mats and wiping spots on the exterior. I have seen posts where folks are talking about things they have used to clean the truck. Is there a comprehensive list? I have been using microfiber towels and windex. (Please don't mock me in am doing it wrong I have never had a nice vehicle. ) I purchased some bar keepers for the exterior, but am too scared to use it. What do you use to clean the white leather? I read someone had put a stain guard on theirs... Did it work? What do you clean the steering wheel with? I covered the middle console cover because I was worried I would indent it with my elbow over time. How do you guys get the tiny mote of dust way up at the front of the windshield area? In Missouri we have to have an EV sticker. How do you reach the front lower part of the windshield to adhere it? I want to make a "clean kit" and have everything all in one place.

Thanks in advance!

Great Questions Darick! I’m 1.5 days in and have the exact same questions! The one that’s really bugging me is the registration sticker and keeping the expansive dash area clean and looking new. Both look problematic to me!

Congrats on your CT. What I use for exterior general cleaning & fingerprints is Windex or if I am doing a full wash a good quality car wash soap. For the glass - I am using an Unger cleaning pad (Amazon) with a shortened broom handle attached to the cleaning pad head to reach the very bottom. I cut about 18" off the handle. I used that pad to clean all the big glass inside and outside. White Leather - Just a nice warm water cloth or unscented baby wipes followed up with a clean microfiber towel and those should clean up nicely. I had a model X with white interior and using the wet cloth or wipes did a very good job and I did not use any type of fabric or stain guard product on them. I used that same process on all my interior fake leather stuff and steering wheel. I think your EV sticker will just have to be at your arms length as getting down to that lower corner would be a stretch even for your tallest of friends. If I was gonna have a clean kit, it would have Windex, Microfiber towels, and some unscented baby wipes for a quick clean up. I look forward to reading what others offer up.

Mine got delivered on April 28th. All of my previous cars were ceramic coated and always hand washed. For the cybertruck, I am paying for a monthly unlimited automatic car wash. It is like $50 a month. I like the results and I think washing more often might be better. I did the barkeepers friend and windex and the result is fantastic. It took me like an hour by hand. It was like applying wax, no hard rubbing. After I went straight to the car wash to see if I got streaking or spots after the wash. It looked perfect, little better than what I got after barkeeper and windex. I did the car wash right after thinking it will remove any remnants of barkeepers and windex and to possibly to seal it in. I am also going to try Flitz stainless steel polish and protectant tomorrow.

I second the automatic car wash option. I go to one of those drive in conveyor belt car washes with monthly subscription. Use the works option with all the marketing nonsense waxes and coatings etc. Works flawlessly, truck looks great and removes all finger prints. Takes 3 mins and zero effort, this is the way.

My sister lives in Springfield, I think you there is a similar brand called iguana wash or something like that, if I lived there that is what I would do.

Note bar keepers friend is good for a full deep clean and to passivate the stainless. Not something you want to spot clean with, for barkeepers you would have to clean the whole vehicle, go panel by panel for roughly the same amount of time and same amount of scrubbing. I may do it once a year at most if I want to brighten it up, other than that I am just looking for quick, simple and effective.

- 70% isopropyl for finger prints, just for the body. I used 91% because it cleans and doesn’t streak as much.
- Bar keepers friend the foam version, Tesla detailer said this is the recommended one.
- Presoak solution for outside, I use a foam cannon, in car wash mode, make sure whatever you get has a low pH (check owners manual), and before someone says don’t use a power washer, your dumb Tesla uses them internally, it’s fine just stay away from where electronics are.
- Use car wash mode!
- Spot free water filter if your using power washer with garden hose.
- Soapy water for interior
- Microfibers - Meguiar's Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel
- Microfiber hand mitten from Mequiar’s known trusted
- Invisible glass for windows inside and out only.
- Large telescopic expandable squeegee long enough to reach top of glass inside and out.
- Shop vac and massage gun for carpets
- Electric leaf blower prior to drying with towels mentioned above
- 303 UV protecting spray for rubber seals, apply every 30 days or so. Keeps seals nice

Things not to use on the steel:
- Windex (ammonia === bad) wouldn’t use it around the truck personally, others on here love windex lol
- any abrasive pads anywhere on the outside body.

This is what I use…

I have nightmares from the days when I student and worked weekends at a corporate jet place and we would polish, by hand, the leading edges of the Lear jet using Flitz. It looked amazing when we were done but that was a lot of work.

I thought it would be quick. The polish with protectant is a spray on and wipe off. Yeah I am hoping if good result less than an hour of work. Barkeepers friend didn’t take that long and easy but it took out all the imperfections. It was like magic
