I pick up my Cybertruck tomorrow and I’m praying it has no defects. This will be my first Tesla and I’m trying to make a list of things to check for during pick up.

1. Panel Gaps
2. Waves in panels
3. Confirm all functionality in components

What else?

Also any pro tips for first time Tesla owner?

edit: picked up truck on 5/22 and it went well with minor issues. See posts in thread for more details on issues.

thanks for all the suggestions.

Do you have your 220v home charging setup? That is what really makes owning a Tesla life changing.
I planning on getting one installed very soon.

First time buyer as well but you definitely need to check out @edc Everyday Chris's video

He also has a free and paid for comprehensive checklist that is worth every penny of the whopping $5 bucks he's asking. seriously you should get it. I did and have it printed out in a folder ready to go on delivery day.

Overall, the standard of 120 volts for most household circuits and 240 volts for certain appliances has been in place for approximately 90 to 100 years. CHATGPT

I would suggest not trying to go over the truck with a fine toothed comb at the service center. Take 360 video inside and out before you accept ownership, and inspect closer at home.

The personnel there will probably tell you that you have "x" number of days to report defects. As far as waves in the panels, that is a guarantee. Not a single CT will be delivered without them. It's the nature of the product.

Same with panel gaps. It's a heavy, moving electro mechanical machine that has to navigate the real world of potholes and harsh terrain. There will be slight differences in the panels. It's a truck, not precision artwork.

Get a level 2 charger installed at your house asap.

Also, just enjoy the truck. Don't worry about slight imperfections unless you are accepting delivery of a literal showpiece that you will keep in a climate controlled showroom.

Ah yes, there will always be those that feel compelled to make that correction. Similar to those that get up in arms when someone says engine and it’s really a motor.

I will update the OP.

I took delivery on Wednesday and there were only 3 issues which were all minor.
1. The tow hitch panel had a broken clip but Tesla caught it before I was there and already ordered a new one
2. Minor chip on top window were they cut the glass. Submitted a service request
3. Minor scratch on back passenger window. Submitted a service request.

Its possible the window issues are both in spec but we will see

Truck is amazing and I’ve already put 300 miles on it.

@Kuiper__Belt thanks for linking the video as it helped me a ton with what to check.
