How is it punishment when they said 'late 2024' the whole time?

I think what he's saying is that it's pretty disheartening to see a flood of AWD orders being fulfilled with some people getting a VIN after just 1 mont (non-shareholders, referral points, or VIPs). Tesla tried to temper expectations by saying "mid-late 2024" or "late 2024," but I can understand that salt.

It’s a business decision. Even if the profit margin were lower for AWD, the volume or take rate is so much higher, it just makes sense to focus on pushing those models out. It’s not vindictive toward buyers or anything else. We’ve ALL been waiting for 4.5 years for this, a few more months won’t hurt anyone.

Exactly!
It's not like they are not making the beast, they are not making enough. Approximately 1 out of every 10 Cybertrucks made are a Beast (10%) which is moving at a snails pace. They are still working on fulfilling December orders. The stats on here shows that approximately 30% of the orders are for the Beasts. It would be nice if they at least increased the Beast production percentage to match the percentage of orders.
I'm currently at 116 days since configuring my order and I'm sure that there are hundreds if not thousands of unfulfilled Beast orders that have waited longer than me. I'm just a little frustrated over this whole process and especially the lack of communication.

118 days for me. My friend out in CA just got her Beast a few days ago.

I have a Beast.

the anxiety from waiting almost caused me to downgrade to the AWD

IM SO THANKFUL I WAITED FOR MY BEAST

I drove a friends awd over the weekend and couldn’t help but feel sorry for him.
He drove my beast and instantly regretted his purchase.

said when he got back into his truck after driving mine in beast mode he felt like his was in chill mode

If speed is all all important to you, wait.

the dual motor Cybertruck is kinda quick but super underwhelming compared to my beast

Im at 161 days. Just like my P100D, I’ll be much happier with the model that sets it apart from the rest. To that end, Iā€˜m glad it only represents 10% of the available vehicles. Doesn’t that make it all that much more exclusive and exciting when you finally get one?
