My CB delivery date is tomorrow but my VIN is unusually low (08xxx), so it was manufactured a long time ago which makes me wonder if others have rejected it before it was assigned to me.
Oh I know that one. That truck fell off the transport truck and they had to glue it all back together at the factory. You'll be good

I’m wondering if some people like me are getting quicker than expected white interior VINS with some of the gray order changes that happened
I am betting that our choice made someone else (with a white interior and original wheels) very happy.

I'm in the same boat with a 6k beast Vin. But still waiting to schedule a delivery 1 week in.
I suspect something is holding them up rather than another customer declining it

We just had our 12v replaced on our 2021 Y (it failed "gracefully" with a warning via the app so mobile tech came out this morning and swapped it in <20 minutes, $0 charge since still under warranty, can't beat it).

I asked him about Cybertruck deliveries and he's saying that it's going, but some Tesla locations simply aren't able to handle Cybertruck deliveries because they haven't yet updated their lifts and other equipment to properly support them, so they don't bother shipping them there . He indicated that for certain states and cities, it puts a big load on a single service center, which could explain why some of these trucks are geographically nearby but not yet scheduled for pickup.

Off-topic:
I also asked him about overall morale at the company and he was of the opinion that while it's quite possible that some good folks got erroneously culled during the mass layoffs, he felt there was a lot of redundancy (middle management), some obviously underperforming techs (mobile and on-site) that needed to go, and salespeople who seemed to serve no real purpose.

It was his opinion that the layoffs were probably the right move, as much as it hurts the folks who lost their jobs. He also cited the remote diagnostic team as a group he was rather pleased to see get the axe. I thought it odd since I figured they would've been a helpful group for his role, but he said 9/10 times they'd badly remotely misdiagnose the issue, which would send him to the customer car with the wrong fix or wrong parts and in cases where he knew what the issue was ahead of time, he couldn't overrule the service order and ended up turning one service visit into two or more. In his opinion, it was good riddance. Obviously this is just the opinion of a single mobile tech, but he was nice, punctual, professional, and said he had been there almost 7 years, so take it for what it's worth.

So this just happened. Midday today my e-mail pops up one from Tesla. I have a VIN. I am in the middle of a Resturant and I am on "Cloud 9". FINALLY, so I start excepting information, call my loan office, call my insurance and get things moving. However, when I get home and actually am able to see the details they sent my the wrong vehicle. This was a VIN associated with my original configuration (white interior, cyber tires), not the one that I changed it to in mid-May [6 May 24] (tactical grey interior, core wheels) so now I'm a little mad, upset, and frustrated. It's hard to read those details on phone app and now I have to spend more time trying to get this undone to probably wait months more to get the correct VIN for the correct configuration that I requested. UUUGGGGHHHHH!

So today I was sitting with Elie in his Los Angeles office at T-Sportline going over mod design ideas for the Beast I’ve been waiting on - (got my Vin on May 17 from config on Dec 21, 2023) and trying to estimate when I might get my delivery notice so we could book a date for a wrap and other mods - when all of a sudden I get the ding of a text message and it’s my local SC saying they have my truck!! Unreal. The text said to call them for next steps but of course no one answered for hours and no one called me back or responded to my texts. So I drove over to the SC and am scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Been on a lucky streak lately - I don’t know why but I’m going with it. Best to all who are checking the app every 10 mins - I can relate. - R
